Things going steadily at the moment despite the bad weather etc. The photo below is of the transverse beam between the P1 seat rails which supports the rudder control chains and sprockets. The assembly is very nearly complete and just need the addition of a cast bracket (pattern has been made) and some spacers for the sprockets themselves.

Nice photo there Martin
Funny to see an FN5 directly underneath the tail…..
John
Morning 12jaguar, in view of the current condition of the cockpit area I would think that any drawings would be of great assistance β the work involved is certainly of a similar scope to your groupβs excellent Stirling cockpit build! π
And if we can help in any way, please don’t be afraid to ask π
Not much on E-Bay for the Stirling  afficionado but here’s a nice looking Lancaster/Lincoln Trim unit for sale
John
Let’s hope the drawings prove useful…
John
I may have missed it Howard, but are there any APs out there to help you with the rebuild?
John
Great to see her off the deck Howard. Look forward to seeing her at the Aeroboot
John
Thanks Rob, the chap in question (Mike) has done a great job and allegedly each parts is individually linked within the GA into an exploded manufacturing drawing. I can’t run it with my software, but our Chairman is well pleased!!
John
Looks very nice John – needs some dimensions though………..
James
Hi James
I hadn’t forgotten LOL.
Pino has the finished CAD drawings so if you contact him, he should be able to send you the files.:)
John
A quick post to show some of the work going on in the background. One of my colleague in the Marshall drawing Office has drawn up and modelled the escape hatch from BK710 that we have on loan from Holland. The link below takes you to our website where the pics are hosted (I’m having trouble uploading photos here at the moment:confused::confused:)

John
Thanks P&P
The drawing does give Light Alloy as an alternative for the label material, in each case to be engraved and infilled in white. We’ll probably go with the alloy as it’s readily available and by definition is also correct to drawing
cheers for all the help
John
Thanks for that Martin, there doesn’t appear to be any info at the moment on how you reproduce the label. I’ll have to do some more digging
John
Thanks Ross, certainly sounds feasible, I’ll look into it
cheers
John
Just a thought…could the EM refer to ‘Electrical Mod’? The marking looks similar to others I’ve seen on electrical eqpt e.g. STI/Elec etc.
John
I can recommend this one:
Chocks and Driptrays by Stanley Newton which is of the immediate post war era
