I have one of the visual indicator gauges available, A,B,C,D & F connections on the rear. Operators unit I think. AM and Crown stamped front.
Hi Denis
Is that one of the 10Q/2 indicators, with a needle that points left and right?
cheers
John
Thanks all for the links, and the Air Diagram is superb. A picture paints a thousand words:cool:
There’s a distinct possibility that we’ll have the connectors although that has yet to be bottomed out. At the moment the electrical gear is the priority as we have some of the Oxy stuff required.
Any Sect Refs or pics that anyone has that could identify items would be much appreciated.
John
Hi Moggy,
Not sure if this even warrants a question mark as post 71 seems to imply from Mr Jackson himself that filming should be taking place in 2010, hence not cancelled and maybe no longer delayed either. can this not be merged into the other Dambuster film thread?
John
Yes good point about the age of staff i bet there 45 plus i maybe wrong but we do need to teach staff why not hold a course on doing it & get younger staff interested?
IIRC there is a course sponsored by BAPC which is held at Duxford(?) specifically geared towards conservation and restoration.
John
Good to hear that John,
I am looking for the small black bakelite connector blocks (5C/431 IIRC) and
one size bigger.Any leads in the UK?

If it’s the next size up for the 2 way connector block, that’d make it a 5C/516. Hope that helps
John
Hi Cees
Good to see that things are coming along really well and I hope that the move wasn’t too traumatic. We might be in a position to start painting some stuff green soon as well (well after Chrimbo anyway:rolleyes:).

LS is only about 10 mins drive from me and is always an interesting stroll and occasionally a rummage in the undergrowth (oo-er) can find some interesting finds

Hi Allan
Unusual and interesting picture:cool:
Surprisingly  considering as the Sunderland and Stirlings were contempories there is very little commonality between the two, except for the control column bases. Luckily we will be doing something similar with our seats and control columns etc as they can be assembled outside of the aircraft. See post 117 to this thread.
Thanks again for the loan of the Sunderland structure
John
Seriously though, this will allow us to incorporate some original structure into our cockpit, which I think is a good thing. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and get things made, some you win and some you lose:rolleyes:
John
Oh, the irony! 🙂
I thought it was actually a bit aluminiumy:diablo:
I’ll get me coat:D
Leave it with me Martin, I’ll get back to you….
