many thanx all….sadly TT the light does not penetrate that far down the museum!
sorry the phots are so small….never have much luck setting the right size….hopefully this of the lanc is better……
used my monopod and new Panasonic Lumix….it is tinsy, looks silly on the pod and is not bad for a point and shoot!
Very decent shots there, thanks for posting. I’ll second your comment on the Lumix, Rocketeer, I’ve had one for a couple of years and it’ll do me until I can afford a decent DSLR or digital camcorder (hopefully next year).
I believe the same greenhouses also welcomed a Buccaneer after a none-too-successful rotation one day – without injuries, I think. The Bucc was dragged back into a hanger on the airfield, where it nauseated everybody with the stench of crushed and rotting tomato. It was dragged outside after a day or two and given a thorough hosing down
Low-wing jobbie with radial over W.G.C, at 15.40hrs today heading S.E., couldn’t positively identify as sans specs and bins while walking the dog – but my Whippet reckons it was a Yak, judging by the sound of the engine.

I think, John, that you’ll find that he had flown with the pilot – a friend – many times before but only as a passenger, not under instruction. He had handled the controls in straight and level flight and had obviously picked up some of the patter and procedures.
The Washington Post’s opinion of the haircut story
Pardon my ageing memory, but did not the French test their early nuclear devices in the remote Sahara…….anybody got one of those Giggler counting thingy’s I can borrow to check my car?
Do you mean a geiger counter, maybe?
Yeh, something like that.
Just an observation about that picture – are firemen (like policemen) getting smaller ?
Was his name Leonard Skinner ?
