Two warbird type aircraft over Welwyn G.C. at 1710hrs this afternoon. Didn’t catch them in time, they were receding fast into the distance, heading due West. Presumably out of Duxford, did anyone else see them? and where were they heading at that time of day?
By the way, ZRX61, the whole point about a B2 is that you’re not supposed to see it……
This any use ?- o.k. it’s skulking behind the Avenger but it’s a reasonable air-to-air.

Not a good week for the jazz world – Bobby Hutcherson, the man who brought jazz vibraphone playing into the modern era. Made a string of brilliant albums for Blue Note in the latter part of the 60’s, appeared as sideman on many more. If you want an idea of his impact, try catching him on the seminal Eric Dolphy ‘Out to Lunch’ sessions, also on Blue Note.

So long, Toots….. Toots Thielemans, harmonica player, longtime collaborator with the jazz greats. You’ve no doubt heard him play many times without realising who it was. Most famous for the fabulous harmonica playing on the theme music for the film ‘ Midnight Cowboy’. Older forumites may remember the jazzy little number ‘Bluesette’, back in the 60’s.

Pope utterance’s – I wonder if he uttered a pious ‘bollox’ when he tripped over the other day
Make the most if it- the way things are heading it could be the last one.
and a few minutes before that she was over Welwyn GC.
Thanks for the replies people, as ever forumites are helpful folks. Alan – I have too many questions to impose upon you, but thanks for the offer of assistance. Tony – item bookmarked for later investigation. Newforest – found the Easy Steps book in W.H.Smith on Saturday morning so will read it avidly and emerge a new person, or at least understand a bit more,
I’ve heard that the Nostalgair Air & Car Show in early August may not be taking place – can anybody confirm or deny this?
