It astonishes me. She’s a woman, she has breasts.

Like a large proportion of her generation she’s happy to sunbathe topless.

She is entitled to some privacy – this long lens stuff is out of order.

So no, I don’t see it as a ‘stupid thing’ she’s done.

Does any of us think less of her for the fact she sunbathes topless? I certainly don’t.

    Moggy 😡

While I agree 100% she isn’t just any old woman, she is Royalty and should have a higher standard, if not better body guards than the average chest waver.

I’m sure if I was spying on her topless from a distance I would certainly have a long lens on.

Didn’t the Comet have a problem with the props changing pitch suddenly causing undesirable handling? I seem to recall this as one of the reasons it hasn’t flown much. Did this get fixed or is this not an issue any more?

Why didn’t they land at Malta too? Or, why not land back on the carrier? After all, the U/C was down.

    Confused?

I get the impression the Hurricanes could not land back on and would have just orbitted waiting for the lead aircraft to take off again. With wheels down the lead aircraft could not reach Malta. Not sure why they didn’t have a spare just in case though?

I read the story of a Skua (or possibly a Fulmar) that was guiding Hurricanes from the Ark Royal to Malta. When the aircraft took off it found it could not retract the u/c. Knowing that he would run out of fuel and have to ditch in the sea, but also knowing that the Hurricanes would not be able to find Malta and would just circle the carrier until they also ditched as they had been ordered to wait for the Fulmer / Skua, he decided to fly close enougth to Malta for the Hurricanes to navigate on their own and then ditched.
Pretty brave if you think about it. Don’t know what happened to the crew?

Kenneth Wiiliams on finding the torn off ear from the monster (Carry on Screaming)..

“Oh well you know what they say, ear today gone tomorrow!”

    a couple of Young Frankenstein quotes;

Marty Feldman lifting the rather well endowed Teri Gar from the cart when someone knocks on the large oak door with a very impressive iron door knocker.
    Gene Wilder “What knockers!”
Teri Gar “Why thank you heir doctor”

Teri Gar contemplating the physical size of the monster.
“He must have an amazing swangstucker?”
Gene Wilder thinking for a moment “Well, it goes without saying!”.

    …Heir Blucher! (Whinneeeeyyyy!!)

We don’t aid these countries because we `care`, we aid them to manipulate them for our own gains. When they turn and bite we shed crocadile tears, get upset and then use that as a political excuse to flatten them.
Then we re-arm whoever is left and the cycle continues.
It’s good for arms sales and our own political standing.

So is this for real or a wartime propaganda myth?
More likely one landed atop the other?
