Sunday 9th 17:00 C47 in Invasion Markings heading South over Blackbush quite low.
Made me feel like a little Dutch boy wondering what it must have looked like seeing one for real in 1944.
Saw it in the distance Saturday so guess it was going to the Victory show?
Didn’t farmers used to buy these old aircraft for the wheels so they could use them on their trailers and such, or is this another aviation urban myth?
Just look at cars. My Mondeo is worth about £300 but I bet in 100 years it will be worth considerably more!
