    hampden98,

    Oh dear.

Fray Bentos is a town in URUGUAY, the Fray Bentos meat company was British and the meat packing plant closed in 1979.

Well, at least someone didn’t point out that Vulcans are not equipped for Cheese Based ordenance!

I still say the biggest travesty was the failure of MAF to embargo any Argentinian cornbeef based products. If we had just clamped down on the import of Frey Bentos’s Juicy Pie and Canned Meet range we could have starved the Argies, economically as well as mentally, and forced them into a `Cold Pie War`. We would then have won by a Vulcan NAFFI Cheese Rolls drop on Acension!

I read an article in science magazine. A leading scientist was asked “if a fly flew into your lab what would you do”, and his response was interesting. He replied..
..”consider the following. Imagine there are no insects on earth. Then as a scientist I created a small fly. Well, I would be a noble prize winner and the scientific community would be in awe.
However we do have flys so what would I do, I would swot it!”.

The point being familiarity breeds contempt especially where life is concerned. We will only miss it when it’s (Whales, Dolphins, Flys, Mice) are gone.

Does anyone know what happened to the Lancaster (possibly Lincoln) that was stored at North Weald during the 80’s – 90’s?
This aircraft was used as a laminar flow research vehicle and had `wing` mission stickers painted on the nose.
It was possibly a Lincoln and I seem to remember a lightblue upper, black undersurface of the very weathered paint.

I think it was at Biggin Hill where another three ship did happen with RS712,
    Sally B and the Blenhiem.

That picture featured on the front cover of Sally B magazine one month with the caption “will we ever see that sight again?” or words to that effect.

Sadly I doubt it, but would hope for a four ship with the Beaufighter, maybe?

You would think the Police could be supplied with a better tool for smashing the side window with. Spring loaded centre punch does the job nicely.

As for jumping on the bonnet, not sure what that would acheive except a dented bonnet?
