I can believe this and have experience of something similar.
Not mentioning any specifics, but, I used to work for one the the big four Telecom companies.
A newb support engineer who thought he was gods gift to computers added a crontab to the entire
shop functionality of said companies website. Not just one computer out of the farm to test, but all the computers
in the farm.
The cron entry was something like cp -rm *.
It moved the contents of a directory to another area. However a typo in the command move the root partition to another area!
This is similar to pulling the chips slowly out of HALS brain.
Needless to say the entire farm went down and with it the shop.
The only thing that saved the day was that the shop was being replaced with an upgraded farm.
So we just moved that upgrade hastily into live.
Never did see that engineer again.
Your post is really odd. But perhaps you’d like to think that the dead were all illegal immigrants inbound to tap social benefits?
Just trying to equate loss versus compensation.
I really don’t get the immigrant or benefit comment as my post mentions neither?

I wonder what I would do in that situation having lost my family?
25000, 25’000’000 ?
I don’t think either would be compensation. Could I spend the money, enjoy the money knowing what it cost?
An acceptance of fault, a sorry from the CEO and time to mourn?
Or just accept the fact and walk away?
Strangely the last option seems the best.
by “remarkably well preserved” do they mean “totally knackered” ?
Seems most of the removable bits have been removed. The rest is a corroded wreck.
Spoiled in the same televisual way as the Gran National and the Boat Race.
Do they even get coverage anymore?

What was interesting in the Myth Busters test was that the cabin was pressurised to 8psi.
Apparently this simulates 40’000 feet.
I always thought the pressure would be more?
There was a Harvard Zero wreck (not the one previously mentioned) at North Weald in the 90’s.
I assume it was from the same film but was in a worse state. Lots of panels removed and the paint scheme was very well worn.
Would have been at the time of the open days when bedsheet bomber, lincoln and 111 were extant.
(slightly off topic)
The Stuka siren sound from TV and film must come from a stock sound,
much like the Disney Frog and Car Screech.
You’ll even hear the `Stuka` sound when a bi-plane goes into a dive in some old movies (and deliberately in Airplane 🙂 ).
As an aside I would be interested to know where that TV `Siren` sound originated.
Thanks for the replies.
So the `grey` would appear to be laquer giving the wing an appearance of grey as in the above photo.

Mind you he did drive out the other side.
I had an 87 Escort which used to cut out if you splashed a deep puddle.
