Have any of the other people in the picture been identified?
You might be able to trace that man from those around him?

I found some good “before’ and “after” pics here, hope they aren’t duplicated elsewhere here,, one pic has a P47 sitting on a beach in France,,,

That site appears genuine but may have a virus or other malicious software on it.
Keeps redirecting to a suspicious java looking download page.

What are the Paratrooper Cocoran boots like to wear? I’ve always fancied treating myself to a pair.

So could a squadron of Mosquito’s fly high and fast enough to avoid German fighters in daylight?
If caught they could jettison their bomb and dogfight?

Is that an old aviation Myth then? I always thought they did copy the Dakota, or was that a different aircraft?
BTW are there any DC2’s still flying?

Lets hope for 10 or more years incident free flying this time.
She’s been under rebuild for 33 years all told!

What’s that film with Kirk Douglas as a French officer who is trying to clear the names of several French soldiers during WW1?
True, it does have a few battle scenes but is primarily about the court martial.

Yeah, have to admit being a Vulcan fan that since it was demobbed it’s displays are a little less – noisy.
    No earth quake, no whaling.
It’s also a lot more unreliable.
A victim of it’s own success. Those that remember the 80’s remember those earth quaking take offs (with low cloud cover) at Weald and are disappointed.
Those that attend a show to see her and she goes `tech` equally disappointed.
Most people just attend the shows they like and hope the Vulcan is there.
Now, if she could make more noise and was definite to actually display you might see the Vulcan effect.
Or just stand next to the VC10 at Brunty with your eyes close and pretend.

The irony of life is that a fitness fanatic that doesn’t eat meat will die of bowel cancer when
a slob who has lived a life of bacon butties will not.
I received a letter from my doctor to have a free check up as I was approaching 50.
Now I’ve had an average life. Spent my child hood eating Wimpys each lunch time at school.
Never thought about my health just ate what I wanted – in moderation.
To my amazement my tests all came back negative. No cholesterol, no high blood pressure.
A little tubby but otherwise clean bill of health.
Just enjoy yourself. The stress of worrying will kill you more quickly than a few bacon butties.
The outcome is the same whatever.

If we ask nicely would the owner paint her in Royal Navy colours?
Surely the only true Phantoms were flying from the Ark Royal!

Meteor + 262, hmmm. Where else are they displaying?
    BTW it’s not a real 262 🙂

That’s good news. I didn’t particularly want the expense of RIAT and now that the Vulcan isn’t attending I have the opportunity to see her at another venue.

What’s the story behind the Tristars at Bruntingthorpe?
Are they being stored? I didn’t count them all but there must be 6 or 8 of them.

Horses for courses but you can’t deny that a Lightning at full burner is pretty awe inspiring.
