I get frustrated at people who point out that the UKIP vote isn’t important because only 35% pf the electorate turned out to vote.
What’s worse, voting UKIP or not voting at all?
Don’t the other 65% realize that not turning up could let a radical party in. Then nobody gets to vote.

First time I’ve been to Bruntingthorpe and was pleasantly surprised at what a great show it was.
Totally amazed at the size of some of the aircraft. The first time I’ve ever seen, heard and felt a Lightning up close!

Are they going to paint ragged stripes on 407?

I’m looking forward to having a Euro MP who doesn’t like Europe!

    The sunken tanks were interesting.
In a previous program about the landings (you may have seen, several years ago now) that stated that the tanks were dropped too far from the beach.
The strong tide carried them down the coast and in trying to `point` to the correct heading showed too much side to the current and swamped.
But this program shows they just ran off the ramp and sunk.

All in all I was dissapointed that we didn’t get to see more underwater.

BTW what happened to that chap who was putting together all the photo’s, movies and information on the landings (even down to identifying particular soldiers) into one complete timeline?
Now that would make an interesting program.

Entrance prices are very reasonable but the problem is since the recession most of us are skint!
The new tool Airfix Dakota (check it out, it’s a very nice model) is £20. For an extra £7.50 you get to see 5 real ones!
BTW I’m off to Brunty on Sunday. What’s it like?

Was anything recovered of the identity of the aircraft or it’s crew?
    Any personal effects.
Would be good to understand the story behind it.

Does anyone know if the painting of a 617 Lanc being bombed up (from the front) is available for sale?
I came across it in a book shop as a jigsaw puzzle and it’s a great picture.

hampden98 we have had the same old tosh from them for years so what’s the point?

I’m not a BNP voter. For some reason racist fascism doesn’t appeal. Can’t think why?
I may vote UKIP in the European election but that’s because it’s just farce. No one can be bothered including the mainstream parties.
Who will I vote for in the next general election, hmm, lets see.
Lib Dems. Week, gutless and lying. Nope. They shot their bolt in the last general election.
Labour. Ran us into the ground and didn’t see the crash looming. Nope.
Conservative. No idea about the working man. Nope again.

Can always vote UKIP and see what being out of Europe is actually like?

To be honest I have no idea who to vote for. No one party stands out as being worthy of my vote.
I may just spoil my paper. A mute protest.

BNP and UKIP, but not many threads on Labour, Lib Dems or Conservative. I think that’s the problem.
Everyone is bored with the mainstream.

For me it would have to be an aircraft that I have actually experienced, namely the Lancaster.
There’s something very thought provoking looking up at a Lancaster both on the ground and in the air.
More so than any other aircraft.

The ballistic chute must rate as one of the most important `life saving` devices next to the ejector seat.
    Pretty amazing device.

Is that a Lancaster tyre or, a tyre that fits a Lancaster (which is not necessarily the same thing)?
If so what aircraft is it from?

For someone who has never been to Sywell before what’s the deal?
What time should I get there. Can I park onsite. Should I bring the old deer?
