I always have great admiration for pilots who perform sedate displays at airshows. Especially when the aircraft, conditions, own abilities dictate.
With all the pressure to perform sometimes having the professionalism not to is a greater skill. Especially when others lives are at stake.

You have to admit he’s got some bottle. But it’s all relative. Fall at 100, fall at 1500. Same outcome.
Did you see the program about the guy who did it between the twin towers. That was pretty awesome too.

Damn, I knew that myth wouldn’t hold out!
Anyway we made a fair trade.

I guess the problem is we no longer manufacture the `big` items. Certainly not under British badges.
Cars, Planes, Ships, Fridges, TV’s etc. I’m not saying we don’t make them (Nissan cars), just not that visible.
I have a feeling this might end up as a `what have the Romans done for us` argument 🙂

When the first Blenheim was restored it looked 100% authentic (to me at least).
Does anyone know if anything has been lost during the last two restorations?
Obviously one airframe was lost. I’m talking about un-replaceable fittings and features.
Or will the latest restoration be as authentic as the first?

“Got In Himmel!”. Looks like I am destined to spend the last few working years of my life in a call center then.
Fat chance I might work in an industry that actually makes something!

Why the secrecy? The previous two restorations were public domain. Is it to be a surprise 🙂

When you combine humans with machines then there will be accidents. You just have to accept that fact and enjoy the sport.
A driver was killed at Le Mans this weekend.
Be thankful for all the accident free air shows we attend each year.

There was an episode of Inspector Morse, when the coroner, standing over a dead body says to Morse…
“Morse, do you belive in God?”
    …and Morse replies…
“If you believe in god and you are right then you win, and if your wrong it doesn’t matter anyway”.
    Something to consider maybe?
