Am I afraid of death? Sometimes. When I think about it and it spooks me. Mostly no. I just accept it and try to live a happy life.
I’m changing my attitude to life and trying to live it more thoroughly.
You know, worrying about bills. Not going out because you need to put some savings away. Stressing over something trivial at work.
Now I’m more `sod it, lifes too short`. I’ll ignore people at work, leave on time and take my partner to the pictures.
I think we should all try and live a bit more. Stop to look at the sky, stare at that snail on the patio, stroke next doors cat, stand in the rain.
We don’t realize what’s important in life until it’s too late.

What’s the point in going green if those of us on the planet have so many rules and regulations that living becomes unbearably unhappy?
Energy is part of life. Either we are given as much cheap (potentially green) energy as we want or we go back to pre-industrial times.
If we start strangling people with taxes and threats we will start falling behind the rest of the world who undoubtedly will earn lots of money with bigger airports, cheaper petrol, cheaper energy.
If you really want to save the planet work on reducing the population. By 2025 there will be over 8billion of us!

Looked a lot bumpier on the Sunday. Formation was very smooth Saturday.

Must admit to a tear or two.

I notice the Mossie had retracted the tailwheel. In my day the tailwheels were locked down because there was no indicator reds or greens as for the main wheels. My pilot told me this was because there was a tendency for the tailwheel to get hung up and it was not advisable to land with it retracted.

Same problem with the Hurricane although the tail wheel was locked down after the prototype.
Anyone know what was wrong with the Lysander? Didn’t do a display Saturday. Took off and landed again.

Just come back from a delightful holiday in Toronto and Hamilton.
I went to the airshow on the Saturday, and it was a great day out. Who can complain with a Lancaster, Mosquito, Fw190, Me262 and more!
The formations compared to British displays seemed a lot more spaced out and sedate. Didn’t feel there was any danger at all.
Amazing seeing a Lancaster and Mosquito in formation.
Not having barriers is just one of those cultural differences you accept being in a different country. Just have to go with the flow.

One thing that did surprise me was the lack of stalls. No models, `brick a brac` or other aviation goodies.
    Still an excellent day out.

How much of the cockpit is intact or has most already been `salvaged` by amateur divers?

    Moggy

It looks a bit like the exhaust outlets you would get on a rocket engine?
    V2 perhaps?

What is frustrating and it’s not the fault of the Vulcan team is that with less and less shows each year
the opportunity to see her is also getting less and less.

While I’m not a lane hogger myself and never sit in the middle lane I find the original concept of sitting in the middle lane at 70 interesting.
So. lets say I’m sitting in the middle, or outer lane doing 70. Surely the only people I am inconveniencing are people exceeding the speed limit?
So are we saying 80mph in a 70 zone is more acceptable than 70 in a middle lane?
Surely if we were all good drivers we wouldn’t be speeding anyway so what’s the issue?
I’ll now wait to hear from all the drivers who claim speeding is fine `within reason` and that everyone else is the problem.
BTW if you sit in the nearside lane doing 65 you get better fuel economy and hardly any difference in time over someone doing 70.

Now, what really grinds my gears is the aggression generated by simply driving at 30, in a 30 during rush hour. :dev2:

An interesting picture. Has it been p/shopped? Look below the bomb and there are some very strange changes in the ‘pixelations’ of the water. Look over to the right and what are those ‘ghosts’? The boat does look very big, perhaps because it is. Look at the scale of the people in the forward well, they look about right. Compare them to the size of the Lanc’. Seems about right to me. Any more clues?

The source this comes from suggests this is an original photo.
It’s old and the photo is worn, damaged.
