well i have flown over a dozen times on KLM and right now am living in Holland so i use the airline often.
I find i have mixed feelings. I feel that the airline itself is good, comfortable and provides satisfactory catering short and long haul, however i feel that the main problem is customer service, especially ground staff.
They do not seem to be eager or try their best to help you on your way, for example i travel with a small dog often to Madrid from AMS and they give me too much hassle both on ground and airbourne which isnt nessesary so i happilly swiched to Transavia when traveliing with pets.
Overall i think its a good airline however it has to improve its customer service.
Around my school area (near Bournemouth) i see many heavies at around 10.30-12.00 including Virgin Atlantic A340-600 and 747-400, AA 777 and a few unidentified 767’s. I suppose they r heading for the Carrebean or North America
thanks everyone for your airlines! they are all really good, especially the azure air livery one! How can u design one?!! where do u go?
Mine would probably be LHR to Sao Paolo (gru) and Santiago de Chile (SCL). Never ending 16hr flight in total. Flying over the endless atlantic ocean in the middle of the night is the most gruling part!
My shortest would have to be Brussels (BRU) to Schiphol (AMS) with SN brussels BaE 146. Flight time of 40 mins.
Thanks a lot, Jorge, that will save me a lot of time! 😉 😀
My top 3
3rd place: easyJet
This got to my top 3 as the cabin crew of the airline on many of the routes i travelled on were very pleasant, down to earth, and kind towards passangers. For this reason easyJet gets 3rd place, and i have no doubt its the best if not worldwide, but european no-frills airline.
2nd place: KLM
For a european airline i feel that KLM is a good one. It is reliable, on-time, and has the standards of a European airline of today. Though some of its crew may improve in customer service, the airline is easy to use through the internet and has good check-in and ground services in most european and intercontinental airports, especially Schiphol.
1st place!!!: British Airways
For the list of top 1, BA must be the best! Its crew both in the air and on the ground are efficient, friendly and welcoming. The airline is reliable, on-time and gives the passengers a warm and welcoming feeling when on-board and so i rank this as my favorite airline!!
My local is Bournemouth, and i commute a lot to Madrid – using EZY at BRS or LGW or BA or BMI from LHR, so ThomsonFly or EasyJet to Madrid would be good!
Ive been recently to the viewing terrace in Dusseldorf Airport. There are great views of the gates and runways. The only thing is that it costs 2 euros entrance fee….but its worth it.
I flew Lufthansa on SCL-FRA and EZE-FRA. Great service and a good airline
