I believe you are correct Mark L, BAA have begun court action against FR to recover what they describe as unpaid landing fees – what FR describes as overcharging. I think this can be taken as a warning shot fired in BAA’s direction – reduce your fees or we will go over to Luton. Some threat too as FR constitites around 60% of Stansted’s traffic.

It is an almost exclusivly cost issue. Handling Fees are higher if air-bridges are used.

If Boeing products (military) are bought by the USAF this amounts to a subsidy, as as far as I am aware the USAF is funded out of taxation, correct me if I am wrong. Its swings and roundbouts.

It wasn’t incompetent management MarkL, it was a case of financiers stabbing the competent management in the back. Its a very sad story.

Probably Air Botswana for me, and also Comiar (SA). Not sure exotic would be how i would describe it though…

I think I read somewhere that MOL reckons they will fill the extra capacity, that will be something seems the difference must be in the region of 70 odd seats.

I believe the reason for them getting rid of them is that they couldn’t re-negotiate the lease deals that they took over when they swallowed up Buzz.

I’d take caution here. It’s not that you can’t believe what you read, but this is hardly an official source, and it doesn’t take much to decifer that whoever wrote this account had an agenda. In addition if the thrust behind the post was

“I do not trust the Authorities in the French aviation business. Nothing more nothing less.”

then I question why you titled the thread’

“Why I don’t trust the french”

This Ryanair bashing puzzles me. I am willing to accept the sort of respose Interfulg gave on the previous thread RE: moral in the industry. But this consistent ‘profits drop na nna’ smacks of childishness doesn’t it? In line with Grey Area, although you may not like the airline or it’s CEO I am unsure exactly what posts such of this achieve, in addition where has there been any talk of job cuts?

Easy SkyHIGH and SOFTLAD, the guy only asked a question. I know he messed up before but he is contributing this time. What use is a forum like this is someone can’t ask a question without being flamed, no matter how ‘stupid’ the question may seem to you.

    MANAIRPORTMAD:
I believe the rate of revenue from one of the logo jets is equivalent to an extra paying passenger per flight sector.
