EGNM, who ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try Cathay, they are the best…………….
The centre control yoke is good to clip the map onto. Also, you rest the paper on it. But it gets in the way when the hostie is trying to sit on your lap!!!!!
wysi is right, I need the rest……Ha Ha. Only two flights this month.
I am on the B744 and I am all checked out. No more training for a couple of years. Looks like I will be going on to the B777 as the company are looking at getting a large number of B777-300ER.
I do seem to spend a large part of my time off heading off around Asia. We are off to Cebu this month as well as Phuket.
well this is one, just touched down in BKK and this is of my other passion in life, GOLF. A golf course in between the two runways.
As Wysi said “What a great selection of responses”
My only input, other than what has already been written, is that you must have a HUGE, and I mean Huge amount of determination and dedication.
I went solo at 17 and never looked back. But, I had to work to pay for my flying and use my leave to undertake the flying courses. I had to sacrifice holidays, clothes, cars, nights out, all luxuries etc.
Another thing that helps is making contacts in the aviaition industry. I was lucky enough to be on the same CPL ground school as Wysiwyg, and we have been good friends since then. I even bought a share in an aeroplane off of him. He also helped me get my first commercial job a few years ago, which I have, and always will be eternally grateful for.
I then served 2yrs flying a turbo prop, and this coupled with my dedication and determination I managed to secure my dream job flying the 747-400, for one of the best airlines in the world.
I started at 17, and I have just been able to sit back and enjoy the rewards of being a pilot at 30. So take note that it doesn’t happen over night, it took me 13yrs… Good Luck with your dreams.
And one of the A330 on the way home.
and another.
Some of the engine on spool up.
Well,
some of our ‘A’ scale Captains here at Cathay earn a hell of a lot of money. I don’t want to publish the amount (way over a six figure),but take my word for it, it’s a lot.
SC.
Saab2000,
I can say that I really enjoyed my time on the saab 340. The flying was very interesting operating out of the Islands in all types of weather.
As for Aurigny, well, I feel there are a few problems there which I won’t go on about on a public forum like this but the company gave me a good start in my flying career and I am greatful of what I have now( plus a huge thanks to WYSIWYG). But like anything in this world, you get out what you put in.
Cheers
Sc…..
I must say, I love the Saab 340. I is a fantastic aircraft to fly and very well built. Myself and Wysi have flown many hours on the aircraft and I will always have fond memories of it.
that’s pretty poor taste I am afraid.
wysi,
I won’t fly unless there is a loo in the cockpit.
Sc
lose lots $$ on this flight….
Well, the amount of cargo that can be carried in the belly can make it a profitable flight you know, with only a few pax carried.
