She wasn’t up in the air for long though! 😀
Very interesting. Hopefully, TFC will provide an update on WG655 in their next update too!
Regardless, I can’t fathom why all conclusions of N3′ going to the IWM involve it being grounded?
I assume the one he is giving to Duxford will be grounded as well, such a waste!
Probably worth remembering that N3200 going to the IWM has been in the public domain for about a year now, has it been grounded?
And the Lanc’ and Hurricane made it back to terra-firma with no fatalities. These things happen, it’s the nature of the game- I’m pretty sure collectors and pilots are aware of this each time they strap into the cockpit.
It was meant to be appearing at the Jersey airshow last year but it withdrew due to, I believe, paperwork issues.
Or ‘Duxford fanboy page’?
Apologies for being a Duxford fanboy then, but it’s like a friend of mine said the other week, “when you visit Duxford, your life expectancy immediately doubles”. I love Duxford to bits and would not like to see one of the most popular threads on this forum be deleted due to other people’s personal agenda’s and pathetic cheap-shots just to stir the pot.
Too many bloody Spitfires…as per usual.
Echo other posters comments about lack of Hurricanes:mad:
Be nice to see the Hellcat for one more time.
And people last year were moaning for lack of Spitfires!
It is a shame Legends is lacking on the Hurricane front, but there’s more than enough quality in the list to make up for that.
No, it was going to Antwerp.
N3200 looks stunning. Another job well done for the engineers at ARCo/HFL. Now, will we ever see a four ship of Spitfire Mk1’s? 🙂
Was Princess Elizabeth still in tact or was she in her container waiting to go by the end of the day?
I also thought Stevo was heading back to the States on Monday with the rest of the American contingent?
RIAT 2012 on the Sunday! Low, close, agile and loud…how the Vulcan should always be displayed!
A quick google search for SM832 comes up with the following bit of information:
-TFC 1991-1997 (first flight 1995)
-Christophe Jacquard 1998-2002
-Back to TFC in 2002.
I’m sure AHT’s Avenger went to Switzerland…
Really pleased this has sparked a bit of interest. The TFC fleet in the 1990s sounded insanely good; if only we could have two Bearcats nowadays!
