Excellent pics, DUS gets such a huge variety! 😎
Look at the state of G-EUPA! I noticed that when I saw her passing over Hatton Cross las week while in the area. 🙂
Pilot has been my career aim for many years now.
It’s not an easy job to get there, which is why I respect all the pilots on these forums and others who have got there. Makes me very jealous 😉
I think I’ll send away for that BALPA booklet- thanks for that- and I have also made use of Pprune. I am now starting to look in to Uni if I get the grades.
Aeronautical Engineering at Glasgow looks like a good bet, it help as a back up if things go wrong. Can’t become a pilot? Just have to work with the planes in maintainance. 🙂 I’d like to think that degree would help.
Here’s the thread on PPrune, it has some very informative replies.

I have been waiting a while for one…patience finally paid off! 😀
I got my first glimpse or two of them last week while I was down in London, excellent pics as usual. 🙂
I’m probably the only person to collect the plastic type
Hell no! 😀 I get an example of every aircraft I fly on, and a few more that I am given etc.
I have:
Canada 3000 B752
Canada 3000 A332
Airtours A320
JMC B752
Virgin Sun A320
Airtours B752
Icelandair B752
Flyjet B752
Mytravel A332
KLM B744
Flybe Q400
Delta MD11
easyJet B737
MON A320
Air 2000 B752
Caladonian B752
BA Concorde
Virgin Atlantic B744
….I think that’s it. I want a Finnair B752 in old colours, one I’ve flown but don’t have a model of. 🙂
I was at Farnborough on the Sunday too, plus I was in London all of last week! 🙂 Excellent pics.
Nice pics, but you’ve never caught the two I’ve flown? IGOH and IGOJ. 🙂
Excellent pics, although there appears to be a mutant owl in the background of the second pic! 😮 😉
Yes I have. I flew GLA-KEF-BOS-KEF-GLA with them in March 2002.
They were all of what Bmused said, and punctual too.
G-BNLB, a BA B744, is infact named ‘City of Edinburgh’ I think. Even though I doubt it’s ever visited. 😉
Excellent pics. I made it there on the 25th. Didn’t go in because by the time I got there there wasn’t much point as it cost a fair bit. So instead I stood by the Swan Pub(?). The A346 was absolutely amazing. The high-speed pass by The B-1 made me sh!t myself actually. I love that bird now! 😀 So unbelievably loud! 😮
I’ve got a few pics I’ll try and post later.
I think this would suit Flybe perfectly as a BAe146 replacement.
Local news reports are it seems most likely that bmibaby will be taking up the 17 routes lost when Duo collapsed,( plus possibly routes to Ibiza, Amsterdam etc.?)
What about the routes the EDI lost when Duo want bust!?! 😡 🙁 😉
bmibaby, come to EDI!! 😉
Thanks 🙂
Should BAA be ashamed that the multi-storey car park appears to be dwarfing the terminal from that angle?
What are we at now? Another 200 000 until EDI hits capacity is it? 😮
Well, speak of the devil and he will appear
I just got word from a business associate.
I’ll be flying on the EDI-EWR service early september, connecting to an onward CO flight to NAS 😀 *jumps up and down*
I’m flying out to the Bahamas on business!!
Excellent! 😀 Lucky you.
It know the spot well. I am about to embarress myself here…..
My excuse is I had the sun in my face and it was VERY windy, and the camera’s crap. 😉 I suppose it will give a good comparison between good photographer, bad photographer and good camera, bad camera…. 😉
