Just found out by looking at Jethros’ site that G-MIDX is actually on lease to bmibaby just now and isn’t operating for bmi as I presumed it was when I saw it.

Wow, they are some of the best quality pics I’ve ever seen on this website! So sharp! You must be using a very good/expensive camera! 🙂

They’ve got a few ‘coming soon’ posters in the tent thing by the Concorde tour at MAN making it known that it is…well…coming soon I suppose. 😉

the plan is to go from heathrow-san francisco, san fran to Washington, Washington to Boston and on to New York and back to Heathrow. United is coming out the cheapest at 750 per person, but having never flown them was wondering if they are any good.
They have told me that it will be a 777 outbound and a mix of A320,319;s internaly and a 767 back, do United operate the 747 in to heathrow and I thought we would be coming back on a 777 not a 767.

I think UA only operate the 747 to IAD from LHR.

Concorde is looking dirty already. Nice pics!

That’s exactly what I thought, the rain water has made streaks below the windows etc. Could do with a clean. Still immaculate inside though, it smelt brand new.

Oh yes, I didn’t see one PIA aircraft in the hours I was there either! 🙂
Most notable things of interest was the EK A332 and the Cathy Cargo B742. MYT DC10 was nice to see too.

I don’t have any pics of it, but anyway, was it just me who thought the EMB190 was extremely quiet? I couldn’t believe it, I could barely hear it!

It’s certificate of airworthiness (COA) expires next March, but as has been reported recently My Travel will now retire it along with the Boeing fleet at the end of the summer season this year.

Happy to say I’ve been on a My (Airtours) DC-10, even if it was a bit shabby.

Oh right, well in that case, that could have been the last time I’ll see a MYT DC10 in person 🙂 Maybe the viewing park will snap it up and put it on show, not just the nose like the MON example, but the whole airframe?
