That’s a new one! EZKE. Any idea where it was going?

My Dad is A Driving Instructor! He really likes it, and he HIGHLY recommends BSMs training.

Actively looking for lessons as we speak! 🙂

I have even been asked for ID… for christ sake, don’t they
    read this forum? 😀

I have heard talk elsewhere of ID ‘badges’ for a £15 fee,
I’ll pay when BAA lower those fences and provide “photo”
opportunity holes in the fence. 🙂

£15!! 😮 Outrageous! and waht exactly are paying £15 for???
    I say 50p max.! 😀

They belong the top house in Lochend Road.

I doubt they will bother anyone. 🙁

Police seem more aware of your presence there too, last time we were approached by a couple of ‘friendly’ officers. 😉 Right infront of the sign saying ‘If you see anything suspicious call this number….’.
    Guess what they asked??
‘Are you just watching the planes?’ 😮 Did it really need an answer?! 😉

Excellent shots! 🙂 It’s great to have you here on these forums providing us with these amazing in-sights! 🙂 Although, it just gets me even more jealous!

I just love the east wind and runway 06 arrivals!

One can tell BAA what to do with their 14 foot fence
and park ones car in the publicly accessible field, and get really close to the inbounds.

The sort of access that makes 14 foot fences laughable. 😉

SXM style!? 😉 The field at the 06 end also has a couple of resident dogs!
Yes, the of the canine variety! 😉 Don’t seem to friendly either! 😮

Just passed EDI. Futura 738, Iberworld A320, Air Europa 738, First Choice 752, Britannia 763 were on stand, never seen so many charter airlines at EDI! 😉 The special ‘Brandenburg’ CSA 735 was there as well on the international front.

Thanks for the welcome… I keep reading about A340s (mainly on PPRuNe) but nothing heard from inside the airline. I wouldn’t hold my breath. Seems like further A330s may be needed if all the rumoured long haul ex-MAN services go ahead next year – they have enough A330s for IAD, ORD, LAS and the Caribbean this winter as YYZ is apparently seasonal, but if they launch east-bound services (e.g India, etc) next year they’ll need more unless they reduce trans-atlantic ops.

Still think bmi’s true long term future will be dictated by its sale – some sticky issues to overcome if the VS merger was ever to go ahead but “Lufthansa UK” isn’t totally out of the question given the amount of money they’ve already pumped into bmi. Of course, if Dicky B ever got his hands on it there’d be some downsizing to release LHR slots for VS longhaul, but maybe MAN would still work as a second long-haul hub.

All I hear about the other parts are that Regional is the only component doing reasonably well right now, and that Baby bet on the name change at EMA making a difference but so far it hasn’t – they are NOT doing that well at EMA in particular.

Can you see Regional inparicular restarting any of the lost Duo routes at EDI?
MUC was rumoured, which would be handy with the onward connections with LH too?

    Yes, I did.

I just wondered how this would relate to the programme. “We discover the best car to drive through a hurricane”, do you think?

I guess you don’t watch Top Gear much? Start watching it and you’ll soon see how relevant it is! 😉 😀 That show is just a big muck about now! 🙂

I sense over capacity, if this set-up remains then it will effectively be 3 times daily next summer from GLA! Plus twice daily on most days at EDI in the summer.
Hmm, we’ll see but I can see this ‘war’ ending in tears.
I hope to be porven wrong.

someones not paying attention tsk tsk 😉

Well they should have started a new thread, that one was a question, ‘Is somone ordering the 7E7?’, this thread is saying yes, First Choice and Blue Panorama, it is confirming the rumour.
People may miss the post in that thread, but as I’ve started a new thread about it, won’t miss this one. 😉 🙂
