That is a great shot, I’ve also had it as a background.
    It’s G-PIDS, a particular 752 which I have flown amongst others.

One Chilli Peppers song I would like to hear live is Minor Thing, one of my favs of theirs.

They didn’t play that, I was hoping they would. They didn’t play Suck My Kiss either! 😮 shame. 😉

I don’t think CO and/or BHX will actually admit to that until the day it is cancelled, if it is. It’s just be a rumour floating around the forums. Although to give a very rough indication, look at the fare classes available:

    28th June BHX-EWR:

    1st flight: Cabin class: J5 D1 Z0 F0 Y9 H9 K9 N9 B2 V0 U0 Q0 I0 S0 W0 T0 X0 L0

    second flight: J6 D5 Z5 F1 Y8 H8 K0 N0 B0 V0 U0 Q0 I0 S0 W0 T0 X0 L0

Well, I wouldn’t say that is too bad. If this one random date is doing ok, I don’t see why any other dates wouldn’t be.

Just as a quick comparison, EDI-EWR on the same date:

    J3 D2 Z1 F0 Y4 H4 K0 N0 B0 V0 U0 Q0 I0 S0 W0 T0 X0 L0

Easyjet are easily beating them on the EMA flight apparently

It’s funny you should say that, because I’m sure easyJet announced a few weeks ago that they were stopping the EMA route. Never got a reason.

In many parts of the world like USA and Aus the pilot can activate the runway lights by clicking the R/T button a certain number of times. You also can control the light intensity.

When I used to fly in the USA we would fly over a known airfield, dial up the tower freq and click away….and suddenly the whole airfield was light up. It was quite a cool sight. 😀

You learn something new everyday! 🙂

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀 😀
The Chilis actually announced it at their Edinburgh gig. To say a cheer followed would be an understatement! 😀

Well that was the best gig ever! 😎
They played a wide variety of stuff, old and new.
    Ash were alright.
Not a great fan of N.E.R.D however they put on a good show for the audience. However, they kept calling us ‘motherf*ckers!’ for some strange reason? 😉

This is excellent for the ‘Scottish expansion’ that they promised.

The Tu134 looks to be attracting a fair bit of attention from the ramp workers! 🙂

Well, I’ve just been listening to the final sound checks in my back garden.
This is amazing, I can actually walk there from my house. 😀
Planning on heading down 5pm or just after.
It’s a shame it’s Ash then N.E.R.D, I’m not a huge fan of either but I’d rather see Ash then the Chilis, but if I want to see Ash I’ll have to listen through N.E.R.D as well. 🙂

RIPConcorde, there are about 3 or 4 Flyglobespan arrivals today. Looks like they’ve got a fairly solid charter timetable set up here now, with arrivals from Nice, Figari and Calvi.

And all EXS flight codes. They are utilising their 733s very highly just now then.

July 2004 issue of POPULAR SCIENCE cover story on Super Quiet Super-Sonic Aircraft – – – “Radical New Shapes will bring Mach-Plus Airliners to Our Skies”

A 7-Page article, with serval designs by Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Boeing.

Tease: “Executives of tomorrow will fly in sleek bizjets that will be seen –briefly– from the ground, but not heard. None will have cockpit windows–the needle shape of the fuelsage will make designing windows for forward visibility too comlicated — so pilots will view the outside on LCD screens.”

Well I hate the sound of that! 😡 No cockpit windows, no engine noise!! 😮 That’s not right.

    I don’t know what I’d call it.
I’d call it a Skyharbor instead of an airport though, sounds better. 🙂
It would have most the major European airlines:

BA- domestic and Euro services only.
BMI- domestic, Euro and a couple of US services.
    VS- MCO
easyJet- services connecting up all their other major UK and Euro bases.

and all the others flying to their respective countries capitals:

    CSA
    AF- NCE aswell as CDG
    KLM
    EI
    SAS- CPH, ARN, OSL
    Alitalia- both MXP and FCO
    Luxair
    Finnair
    LOT
    Iberia- Barcelona aswell as MAD
    TAP
    Lufthansa- FRA and MUC aswell
    Olympic
    Malev

    Germanwings- Cologne, Stuttgart

and other major airlines from around the world:

    AC- YYZ, YVR
    AA- JFK, ORD
    UA- SFO, Dulles
    CO- EWR
    DL- ATL

    SAA- Johannesburg
    EK
    Varig- Rio
    JAL- Tokyo
    Qantas- SYD, MEL
    Aeroflot
    Cathy- HKG

and summer and winter charters from the major airlines tied to an travel company i.e not independant. So,

    First Choice
    Britannia
    Mytravel
    Thomas Cook
    …..

they would fly all over from Majorca etc. to the Caribbean.

Their would be a few cargo airlines, similar to the cargo at STN.

The airport would be similiar in style to Kuala Lumper(exterior) and Denver(interior), what amazing airports they look like!
