I know that G-CELR has left EDI, where it’s been for a few years now, and has been replaced by TF-ELA, which is still in partial Jet2 colours, and is now doing the work for Channex/Flyglobespan from EDI that G-CELR was doing.
I’m not sure why G-CELR has gone, or if it is going to return, but maybe it is off to join the Jet2 fleet?
Cheers Jonathan, I passed! :D.
Well done! 😀 Driving’s great.

Oh yeah! 😉 I now have a gameplan. 😀

Oh yeah! 😉 I now have a gameplan. 😀
I think you mean the 3rd ;).
I’m not heading up tomorrow, got my driving test!
Good luck! 😀
If anyone is having trouble understanding my posts with the jargon used, let me know as I would rather be understood than have you thinking that rotation this close to the end of the paved surface is acceptable.
Anyone care to work out how long it would take to cover 50ft at 170kts?
170 knots = 286.9 feet/second
Calculated mentally of course…. :p
Which means it would take a very very short amount of time!
Im sure thats not the point.
We could all go to heathrow and see lots of weird and wonderful stuff, half the fun is seeing exciting aircraft at your local! 😉
Ah stop stating the obvious, you’re spoiling my fun…. :p 😉
You only have to go an extra 10mins down the road to PIK and you can see one on almost a daily basis… :p 😉
Flight times now published for winter services to Tenerife from Blackpool, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle, but still pieces missing in the jigsaw!!
Where else are they intending flying from??
EDI possibly? There are no scheduled services to TFS from EDI currently, so there’s a market there for them. If they do start if, no doubt Flyglobespan will follow! 😉 However, Flyglobespan have slots for TFS this summer, although it’s not been annouced, if they do operate it for the summer I don’t know if they’d continue it into winter though…
The pics remind me of a very similiar situation at the same location, involving the same aircraft type, and taken by the same photographer. Only difference is the other runway was in use. But it looks just as close, if not closer!
It’s not very often I’d say a B777 looks better that an A330, but in this case it’s got to be said that it does when in Etihad colours! That’s looks damn good.
Just the usual at EDI, 1 MON A320.
I think the telephoto effect helps this one. I’d say there’s another 50 yards left there.
Yeah, that fence is furthur away than it looks, although there isn’t much runway left I must say!
This overview pic gives a better idea of the distances:
WOW! That CO B752W! 😮 😀 Love it! Superb pics.
Nice pics, Tom! Especially for a first attempt in gloomy conditions like that, the bmi shots are my fav. I really should get back into it more, I’ve hardly taken any aviation pics since the MAN meet! 😮 The airport must lose it’s attraction slightly when you work there…!
