It would have been the based aircraft, currently G-DAJB.
Yes – thank you! Any news on the traffic for EDI tomorrow?

Corsair B744 due in at 0705 from GRO. That’s the star of the show.
Have a look here for updates: http://www.egphforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=800&start=15
Excellent shots.
Never knew Transat served EDI… You learn something new every day.
Cheers for that.
They’ve served EDI for a long time, anyone care to put a date on it? I’d say late 90s anyway?
Could you elaborate on that statement please?
I’ll try!
The YHM schedule has been delayed since it first started due to the late delivery of the 2nd B752 and the 3rd one is yet to arrive, hence the fleet is so stretched that they have no way of making the delay up. (on another note, check the 26.5 hour delay on YVR/YYC at GLA today/tomorrow).
The EDI delays on Thursday.. well, BCN the previous few days had been operating with B738 via Glasgow, on Thursday BCN was direct as the B738 had returned to GLA which I believe resulted in a shortage of aircraft at EDI as there was nothing to operate the AGP flight. The EDI delays were also partly down to very poor scheduling in trying to keep the delays to a minimum.
Easiest thing to do is read this thread 😉 – http://www.egphforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=742&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
Cheers Stu! I’ll do my best to get some ZRH ones up soon, did you have any to show?
Yeah I’ve got some I’ll post up -most of them pretty boring tbh because the haze killed most of the action shots- but I’m only half way through editing them! Too many distractions.;)
Good news for ABZ, aslong as they can find a 2nd aircraft from somewhere to base up there otherwise it. I doubt it will stay as announced between now and winter anyway, we know what GSM are like with combining flights etc.
Any chance on seeing them in DBV, SPU or TIV any time soon?
They held slots for GLA-DBV last summer I believe it was, and are currently operating to PUY so I’d say that it’s a possibility.
Didn’t the Malaga go all to pot at the last bank holiday (easter) as well. I remember sitting in the departure lounge at EDI listening to people rant at a 6hr delay with GSM.
I would say too much too soon. Are these genuine ‘tech’ probs or just shortage of a/c?
These problems (EDI yesterday and YHM) are down to shortage of aircraft, as you say, caused by attempting too much too soon. They have a strong customer base in Scotland (although for how much longer?) and they have worked on buillding on that until they expanded so dramatically.
Excellent shots mate, I like the first Eos.
Could be worse, you could be a EDI originating GSM passenger today. Both AGP flights and the NCE flights have delays varying from 5-8 hours.
Same colour scheme as the one that adorned our shuttle bus to the hotel at ZRH (a Park Inn amazingly enough…). Certainly eye catching.:D
Excellent selection, as ever.
That’s an interesting ‘Edinburgh’ graphic on the Easy Jet? Is this a theme developing for based aircraft around the various EZY bases ?
Excellent pics, the graphics were applied to signal the arrival of the 4th based aircraft at EDI.
Random! But welcome.:) Can’t help but think BOD or Toulouse on a 2 or 3 weekly basis would have been better if they had room in their schedule for it.
3 passengers in your car?! 😀 As for me, I might be away for the last week in June and first week in July so not sure I’ll be able to make these unfortunately.
Damm that’s frustrating, looks like Easyjet (Bristol) will be rubbing their hands today!
Si
I believe that some of the BRS routes (EDI, GLA, DUS, FRA, CDG, JER) will be kept if you look at the updated route map they are still showing just not yet announced.
Good to see the deal finally done, and a new route from EDI -on top of the already announced Bergerac- although no news on it’s frequency yet, however with HAM lost there’s no gain really.
