Those were my exact thoughts Stuart! I too dont remember seeing a pic of a 195 before, that will probably be the reason.
Yeah, and I just did a quick check of the a.net website for the dimensions, it’s virtually identical in length to the B738, just slightly shorter, ubt longer than the A320!
Maybe I’ve never seen a 195 pic before, but it looks bigger than I imagined, longer.
Well done Stuart, definitely much improved. Looks like you can pretty close to the climb out’s at EDI….might have to see about making my way up there at some point (climb out shots are my fav! 😀 ).
Thanks! With runway 24 in use you can get close, it’s more difficult when 06 is in use though.
Really?
It is what brakes fans are for, either installed or as ground equipment. I wouldn’t want to be pouring water on hot brakes, especially the older steel-type. Do you pour water on your car brakes? No! I doubt very much water from rain/spray will ever get to the brakes – most likely just a mist that would be easily evapourated buy the heat generated by brakes.
That’s why I started the thread, I thought it was somewhat strange…!
Nice shots there….I take it there’s quite a few of EZY’s at EDI 😉
You have no idea! :p There must be 25-30 (ish) daily EZY flights in and out of EDI.
Thanks all, I didn’t realise how big they were though, they were getting pixelated, but I’ve resized them now so they look a bit better. 🙂
747 brake disks are a tad different from your average LGV 😉
This is perfectly fine. No real danger at all.
Ah good, just checking. 😉
Scotland’s turn now. 😉

I wouldn’t have thought it would’ve been Flybe, because they do pre-assigned seating, I’m pretty sure it was easyJet too actually.
Does anyone know what happened to the engineer? I don’t think they said, or I missed it.
Toots doing her best Wayne’s World “extreme close-up” impression.
Ah yes. 😀

Ah yes. 😀
And there comes the debate on the definition of a no-frills carrier, of which there is none, allowing FlyBe to claim anything they like 😉
Exactly! 😀 Aren’t Aer Lingus ‘no frills’ these days? 😉
Also now read that the new jets are to boost capacity from BHX from 2 mil to 3.5 mil.
Hope they start the promised French routes from LBA with these jets!
Sounds like they’ve promised everywhere with those French routes! :p
Scotland are due some too. 😉
Europe’s third biggest no-frills operator
Wrong?!
I think they also had an A320 registered G-OUZO? 😀
