Growing a market by adding capacity. Think there is demand for a one daily service from Coventry to the places i mention with out having a inpact on BHX. The extra pax could come from Coventry?

Do you realise jsut how close CVT and BHX are? I wouldn’t make sense for Flybe to start some flights from CVT, they’d be much better simply adding frequency from BHX.

Suerly they would also be taking pax off the BA BHX-GLA/EDI flights?

But they operate the same route. Where are the extra pax coming from?

Then BE might want to try and take pax of both baby and ba. 😉

    From BHX though.
From CVT they would start taking passengers off of their own BHX services.

Or defending your own market before anyone ells comes in and takes a slice of it away.

BA and bmibaby already have. 😉

Think they would make CVT work with out an effect on ops at BHX but it would only be a limited number of flights from CVT. Maybe something like GLA/EDI/BHD/(ABZ?) all 1daily with 1 based aircraft at CVT?

But why? It would be like competing with yourself for the same market.

Im sure an airline such as FlyBe could make a huge success of CVT to GLA/EDI/BHD and maybe even ABZ work. Sadly cant see BE operating from CVT.

Only if they transferred all ops from BHX. Which is never going to happen.

Its a long trek with only a packet of Pringles on offer.

GSM are operating it for MYT, so it’s probably upto MYT what they feed the passengers?

But at least easyjet offers several days to pick from so that makes sense. Ryanair did not.

Yes, but that can still be done by simply clicking ‘next day’ or ‘previous day’ on the Ryanair website, all that easyJet have done is remove that and stick one day in either side….. *wondering why I’m sticking up for FR* 😉

I see what you mean, Ryanair have still got it wrong though.

It’s not just Ryanair, any airline where the flight is only one a day and you try and start from the airport which doesn’t have the based aircraft is going to end up in this situation. For example, AMS-EDI-AMS:

what he is saying is that the outbound leaves after the inbound flight 🙂

From EIN. But how couldn’t it if it has to arrive from STN first? All is shows is that a day-trip isn’t possible from EIN.

    no, read carefully!

The flight leaves 09:10 from EIN and arrives STN 09:15.
The return flight back to EIN leaves the same day at 06:45!

This is impossible even when counting in the time difference of one hour! Shoddy programming of Ryanair’s scheduling prgram.

Obviously a STN based aircraft? But it is bookable all the way through? If so than more fool the customer for not looking carefully. :p

We had a thread about this on here about it starting from Scotland I think, would be a strange move if they started it from STN!

I take it, it would be with a Tristar?

The actual routing they were talking of is GLA-STN-Iraq. Air Scotland’s plans are getting crazier and crazier by the week right now! 😉

I’ll look into it. Although these days, the cheapest way for me to get to AMS for the day would probably be GSM too if they announce, thanks to EZY cutting back to 1x daily at EDI. 😀

So it was a TS A310 I saw from my house.

I was out walking the dog on this glorious day and took the binocs to check out the lovely sea view when I saw a short and plump plane climbing above EDI. I was sure it was an A310. 😀

EDI has a few short, plump planes in this summer. A310, B762, B736… 😀
