I honestly don’t know, RIP.
If it helps at all, it left MAN at about 09:25.
Must have been.

Nice pics, the TS A310 wouldn’t happen to be the one that went via EDI today?
Does anyone think that we will see Thomsonfly operating into EDI/GLA/ABZ from CVT/BOH/DSA in the near future?
Maybe if they choose to set-up a domestic network we might. BOH-EDI could be possible if they ever choose to look into it, however Jet2 might get in there first… Just not CVT! Already have enough flights to BHX! 😉
Alrighty…heading down to Maho for a burger and some photos….
I’ll be back!!
Alright for some!! 😀
hmm, my post here seems to have disapeared.
I asked, hasn’t a GLA-LCY service been tried before but failed in some way or got pulled?
On more than one occasion I think it has been tried?
Ah well, we’ll see.
Does you man know if a similiar deal has been put on the table at GLA regarding a 2nd daily flight?
Just got word back from my BAA man.
EK have been offered a good deal on slots, parking and other service charges in EDI. They seemed rather happy. Still no firm decision. My friend says a lot of tentative deals get this far but no further.
Nothing back from Zoom then I take it?
flew up to Edinburgh on sat from EMA – bmi baby – but it was a EAL 737-200 !! -nice flight although the cabin had obviously had a ‘white’ respray to make it look newer!!
Ah yes, I might have seen your flight… Same situation happened the previous weekend too! Noisy thing. These days I’ll welcome all the B732s we can get! 😀
Nice pics by-the-way.

Emirates last week reported a 48.7 per cent rise in net profits to £335.2 million for the year to the end of March, while total revenue increased 36 per cent to £3 billion.
Needless to say, that’s quite crazy! 😮

I think ATA might order new B767’s. They want to replace their Tristars and brand new B767’s would mean they would not have to replace them for 15-20 years. Also less maintenance costs. Maybe Southwest could help them with the cost?
I don’t think ATA are in any sort of situation that will enable them to buy new aircraft? 😮 Aren’t they on the verge of liquidation?

I don’t think so Allen, we would have heard something by now. Remember Boeing have shareholders to answer to.
Here’s the way I see it
The deal is almsot certainly discounted a fair bit as its realy a “make do” thing until the 787 arrives. Perhaps Shanghai simply can’t waitn until 2008 or have decided to move ahead of schedule in ling of a good deal from Boeing on the 767s and 737s (notice how its just a big circle)
Also they would have the advantage of brand new planes = less maintenance and also they’ll be configured exactly to their needs.
Maybe Shanghai won’t be the only ones using new B763s as a B787 stop-gap, if Flyglobespan see sense and realise B772s are too big? 😉
