It arrived in MAN from DUB, so I guess it was operating for Ryanair?

Nice pics Grey, lucky b*ggers on that TCX330 going somewhere hot.

Ah well, just discovered it was G-CEAE in EDI today, so I’ll keep wondering. Apparently it was operating for bmibaby though…

Excellent pics, do you know who the EAL B732 was operating for? It was at EDI today too, late morning(ish).

    But at full fares.

    Air-Scotland “should” be cheaper.

Should be, will have to be, but when operating Tristars if they choose to be cheaper I can’t see them making much money out of them?

Errr! I don’t think so! The US authorities would take a rather dim view of someone planning to fly from Cubu to their territory!

Besides, a 757 in high density config isn’t capable of UK-MIA non-stop year round both ways.

    ANdy

I Wouldn’t of thought this matter if the tech stop was in Gander?

I know, that’s why an included the tech-stop idea in my original post. Not that it’s going to happen if they’re adament on using Tristars…

I would have thought 767s would have been better in this situation anyway.#
Perhaps even a 742 from Air Atlanta

Even another B752 if they’re planning on serving YYZ and JFK, could plan a tech stop in for MIA and Havana. I can’t see much repeat business with Tristars…. 😉

    No permission yet I see…
Certainly some nice sounding destinations there if they get them, but I’m afraid that I would never choose them over CO, TCX, Zoom etc, but I guess there will be a few unsuspecting holiday makers unaware of the aircraft type who will book up, provided it’s cheap, which it’ll have to be. Still doesn’t seem like the wisest of moves by them, seems to me like they are just trying to get in there before Flyglobespan.

Excellent pics! Perfect weather up here today too. The lighter nights means that it possible to catch the cargo movements now I see. 🙂 I managed to see the Maersk B762F depart EDI last night as I was passing now it’s lighter.

But a guy at school has a brand new mini cooper S, costing about 12grand or summat stupid like that. However, he pulled up next to me at the lights, revved it up, selected first, dropped the clutch and… stalled. Started the car again, and… stalled again. I just laughed in my helmet and sped away (legally, of course)!

    Haha! 😀

But a Cooper S, and still at school?! 😮

it did has something to do with the supersonic speeds.
The paint has to be extremely heat resistant and flexible enough to allow fo concordes stretching during flight

Indeed, and because of that the Pepsi Concorde was restricted to lower speeds, or shorter time at the higher speeds compared to the standard white livery I believe?
