Why would you question it? They are hardly going to waist there time putting it all in there timetable and on there website if they had no intentions of operating it.
Why wouldn’t they do ALC and MJV from ABZ? If they can do them to EDI then they can do them from ABZ.
MJV is done from EDI partly to keep Jet2 in check. The ABZ-MJV is clearly incorrect for a start which is why I’m questioning it, so whether it’s a mistake for it to even be included or if it is going to be included in the routes to be announced and the timetable totally changed remains to be seen.
Hmm I think you might be jumping to conclusions a bit here, let’s wait and see what they offer when it’s all announced but I can’t see them doing ALC and MJV from ABZ. The timetable showing for ABZ-MJV is identical to the EDI-MJV one for a start so I’d have to question that. 😉
Brilliant selection there. Love the EK T7 and TCX 753… nice to see JMAA, been on her:D Well done mate. Can I also ask, where were all them shots taken?

Wow I’m bored. 😮
Had a few gems hidden away there! Excellent shots!
Stand 6A, with the Marshaller on the roof!!!
Thought so, just checking. 😉
Pure fluke catching the 747, had a quick stop off on the way home from Bailiston, didnt even know it was coming in, honest!!!
WTF! It wasn’t supposed to be in until 3am! 😮 😡 Aircraft that usually operates ALC-EDI-ALC W pattern has gone tech so this B744 is filling in, but it must have positioned in and operated EDI-ALC-EDI instead!
15:00 TOM4386 ALICANTE EXPECTED 0300
You jammy bar steward. 😉 Where did it park?
Excellent report Robert, I like the Scot and Delta shot. Indeed the GVA flights are doing very well. Hopefully EZS will continue them daily as opposed to 4x weekly next summer as average monthly loads have been in the mid 90% all summer, 94% last month.
Did you not rate GVA for spotting then?
Nice shots, fantastic weather for Leuchars too, definitely would have gone… if it wasn’t for the fact I was working…
I see that you caught the broken FR B738 in the BACON ERJ pic, was operating the morning flight, supposed to leave just after 8am, but didn’t leave until just after 10pm!
Starts operating one of the BHX-EDI-BHX rotations on 22nd September (BE292/295). Doesn’t actually start on SOU-EDI-SOU until 9th January when it does one of the morning rotations.
Was planned to be doing EXT-BHX-BHD-GLA-EDI-EXT (or something like that) on 13th September. I presume that is still happening?
Nice variety of shots there. Did you catch what reg you got on Jet2 to AMS? Just out of interest…
Have fun guys, still annoyed that I can’t make it, especially as I suggested this date but but oh well, another time maybe. Hope it stays dry for y’all. 😉
Excellent shots, looked like an interesting/busy day at EDI!
Interesting angle. To take the fire out of an EZY GLA-MAD service? Or do you think the two could run unhindered by each other?
Eitherway, a direct MAD service from EDI would be nice. Not sure what the loads would be like… but it’d be nice all the same.
OR is there already a MAD service?
Iberia had slots for an daily MAD-EDI service starting this summer using A319, but disappointly it never happened for whatever reason, but that’s a lot closer than EZY have come to starting the route so far anyway. With the amount of Spanish toursits alone travelling between the 2 cities on charters in the summer the demand is clearly there.
Hmm, suddenly the prospect of an EDI-MAD scheduled service becomes tantilisingly real.
More chance of Iberia than EZY IMO.
The Jet2 B737-300 (G-CELZ) was operating a Fly Globespan flight from Edinburgh When it diverted into Bournemouth this morning.
Indeed, to PMI.
