This will give you a flavour of it as anyone who was at Fairford in the mid-nineties will attest!
Incredible video, thanks for posting! 😀
Are they likely to visit Boscombe Down at all?
I believe it was because of the ‘V’ shape of the aircraft’s wings.
6:12pm. MJ627 spotted passing Spilsby, E. Lincs.:)
Clive.:)
She seems to be spotted a lot on here. 😀
What is the serial of the red and white Chipmunk in the bottom picture?
WP840. One of my daughters took her 2 yrs old to the barbers, for his 1st haircut, cost £7.00.
What did they charge you?.
Jim. Lincoln .7
£10 🙁 but I guess Jack was in the chair for as long as anybody else would be.

On the subject of ejection, he may have chosen to stay with the aircraft and crash it rather than eject. The incident was in Throop, if the aircraft was left to its own means it would have gone straight into the densely populated urban areas around Poole and Bournemouth and probably killed numerous civilians.
Take a look on the map…

The pilot definitely deserves a posthumous commendation for such incredibly selfless thinking!
Any news on the pilot or any other possible casualties?
Our little boy (actually 14 months old) had his first proper hair cut today and he was as good as gold! He lapped up the attention from other customers and when he was getting his hair cut he didn’t grumble or fidget and now looks very smart indeed.

I didn’t. I moved on to Captain Scott’s Diary which was an incredible book, highly recommended! I’m now half way through Hostile Skies by David Morgen which is his account as a Harrier pilot during the Falklands War.
Hostile Skies was a great read, it was good to hear about a war pre Gulf ’91! I’m now about half way through Hurricane – Victor Of The Battle Of Britain by Leo McKinstry and is proving to be very interesting.
