I love watching Lee Evans and think his Bohemian Rhapsody DVD is his best but in the ones after that he started swearing quite a bit and that just took the edge of some of his funnier gags.
Swearing can be funny but not when it is swearing for the sake of it, as an increasing number of comedians seem to think.
Some rather nice pictures of Kate Garraway and her impressive chest I found on the net yesterday!

Except that –
1) Some were taken prisoner (including the commander & his deputy), & survived.
2) Some others (mostly Indian, 2840 of the soldiers: 690 were British) survived the freezing march, escaped the massacre, & got to British-controlled territory.
3) Of those “troops”, 12000 were civilian Indian support workers, families of soldiers, & camp followers.
4) The number sent in was actually much larger, & the majority of those remained in Afghanistan, at Kandahar & Jalalabad, where they not only survived, but after being reinforced, marched back in & re-took Kabul.
I had a feeling that one or two of the 16,500 might have survived but clearly the majority didn’t, it seems as if it is not just todays British soldiers are dying there. How many other conflicts have British soldiers been killed in in Afghanistan?
Today in 1842 William Brydon reaches Jalalabad, reputedly sole survivor of 16,500 British troops sent into Afghanistan.
An interesting fact I thought might be worth mentioning.
I know this is old news but does it still count?
The ETPS Hip at Boscombe Down.
The 5th pod idea is only a good idea. In practice it has so many draw backs that it has beea all but abandoned.
1. It takes time to 5th pod up an engine. (I would estimate about twelve hours)
2. Not all 747’s have the attachments built into the wing
3. The factory fitted option is extra expense and adds to the weight of the ferry aircraft and it’s operating costs
4. It takes time to hang the 5th pod on the ferry aircraft
5. It reduces the cargo load the ferry aircraft can carry
6. It slows the ferry aircraft down
7. It takes a time to remove the 5th pod. If the ferry aircraft is being used to bring in the engine change crew and tooling this will take an awful lot longer than hanging the pod
So in reality most airline three engine ferry their aircraft back to main base or hire an Antanov.Rgds Cking
And how much extra fuel is needed due to the additional drag and weight issues?
There are 2 Sepicat Jaguars, sat on the Taxi way at R.A.F Syerston Nottinghamshire, and they’re in pretty bad condistion, it wasa very sad sight to see it go out of service so early, but thats the way things are, and i hope someone buys some re-builds them to flight so we can see at least 1 or even 2 up in the skies, agian because thats where they BELONG!
I’ve just had a look at them on Google Earth and was left wondering why are they there? It really does look as if the RAF completely forgot about them when they were decommissioning the type and they’ve just been left to rot alone. 🙁
Awwww, why didn’t I fly in this when I was in Cadets in the 90’s? :p
BIG well done to my lovely hubby for his MBE. Is that cover enough broken??
Mrs Fluffy.
Will your username be changing to show your hubby’s honour?
I read somewhere recently Jeremy Clarkson talking about the popularity of Top Gear. He said it is the most downloaded BBC program, is watched by millions on YouTube and nobody has told him about it being taken off air!

What about this? http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showpost.php?p=1503943&postcount=234
Any info?
Has/is anything like this ever been seriously considered by an air force as an alternative to a dedicated military bomber such as B52 or Tupolev Tu-95 Bear?
Hi all.
Maybe this post should be in the civil section…

I never knew that the B747 could carry a spare engine externally…i thought the cider had gone to my head 🙂
Merry Christmas.
Whilst this seems incredible looking at the picture my first question is why, what is the point of carrying a 5th engine?
How long would it have been though before the aircraft became too expensive to keep in service? I realise it could be updated to carry modern weapons etc but when would the cost of maintenance and training become prohibitive?
