What’s the black spinny thing at the front? The Hawk and the Alpha Jet don’t have them.
Am I wrong in thinking there’s no Hawker Typhoon in any museums in the UK? I know there was one but believe it’s in Canada now?
Yes, the Hendon Typhoon has been loaned to Canada but Hawker Typhoon RB396 is currently under restoration to fly at Lichfield (I think).
If I’m correct in my understanding of the OPs that Hendon and Cosford are the museums in question; then Jaguar 🙂
I don’t count the ACT one at Cosford

Yes the museums in question are Hendon and Cosford but I also thought Duxford was an RAF Museum to include in this but I’ve just remembered that it is actually IWM.
So the original question has been opened up slightly to include aircraft at the IWM Duxford too!
Thinking about my visits to Hendon it is obvious which aircraft aren’t there, the WW1 aircraft are represented as are the WW2 but nothing about the interwar years.
According to many reports (rumours, gossip etc) a ‘black project’ aircraft crashed at Boscombe Down in 1994.

I’ve seen various aircraft out and about this year but the only Historic Vintage aviation moment of the year was the Spitfire I saw flying over Bognor for several minutes in August.
even the F-22 pilots say they rarely supercruise as it gulps fuel too fast.
Does this mean that once an aircraft has reached / passed Mach 1 the fuel consumption greatly increases?
Would a Hellfire sized missile be adequate?
RAF gives go-ahead to shoot down Russian jets

Is this true as I’m not familiar with Spesia?
But more than this is this worrying?
I still think the MiG-28 showed a lot of promise in the mid 80s but never understood why the plane wasn’t continued with.

Apologies if it has already been answered but does the Russian Air Force operate any foreign designed and built aircraft?
Has there ever been much thought on large aircraft with stealth characteristics? Would they essentially be scaled up versions of existing stealth aircraft? A slightly larger B2 but with internal fuel tanks in the bomb bay, I would have thought they could only use probe and drogue as a 10 metre long boom would be hard to hide from radar!
Have you done any from The Battle Of Britain or Dambusters with different markings on each side of the aircraft.
Manoeuvrability wise which western aircraft does the MIG-31 best compare with?
This morning at 0800 I saw a pair of Wildcats flying over Andover heading east.
