Highlights of that paper, please. Tks
The guys whop deleted my post are actually weak hearted. Not fit for this forum!
what i told was true and there needed no censoring of the same, coz Indian abides by NO FIRST USE and Pakistan abides by FIRST USE of N-weapons. So what that means is if ever Pakistan attack India with N-weapons, a retaliatory strike is gauranteed so as to make Pakistan not ever to raise its head again and thats what it is, as simple as that.
And for that not to happen, only a Indian pre-emptive strike or taking out the Pakistani N-missile launchers is the only way. And for that I am a strong beliver of the hight altitude route. Whatever the cost maybe.
If u guys is soo weak top take this reality, i can’t help it. So before deleting that also do check out other related news and items which eminate from western direction abt the use of N-weapons.
And the least eligible to comment and ‘advise’ India abt N-policy, disarmament and weapons is the $hitty mouths that open up from the w.d.c.
yes, Matt, its very speculatibve.
But I’ve my bet on the S-37 based designed showed. As its the simplest and fastest way to seeing a Pak-fa fly not later than 2007 (as per Russian general) … and S-37 based that one is not that bad either, it has got some good design for LO and that can be agumented, aldo, it has got revolving dispensers for R-33 or future R-37 (as per the mechanics site) which also means the bay is a larger than that on F-22. Abt the revolver,, I’d guess its is a 6 AAM revolver for R-37.
Now AL-41 too wud be there with its supercruise etc etc, and in short, combine it (which they have been doing for long, directly and otherwise with the S-37 frame) and what u get before 2007 is a modified S-37 design.
but then its all speculative, but I be pretty happy to see it as shown in the drawing, with fins being outward angled and the lower section of the nose cone being a bit angled etc etc.
:p pffffff :p
P28 is to be an ASW corvette
and what does an ASW corvette do???
There are already 9 x Ka-31s operating with the Indian Navy. And probably same number (and possibly more) maybe coming off by the time Gorshkov comes. 6 x Ka-31 can be gauranteed on Gorshkov and then, there are the 3 x P-15A and 3 x P-17 coming up too. so 1 each for these means 6 x Ka-31.
which will total it out (as of now) to 6 + 6 = 12 x Ka-31 by 2008-9.
with the net numbers going up to 9 + 12 = 21 x Ka-31.
If we consider the IN goin in to equip the Brahmaputra and Godavari class of Frigates with the Ka-31 , then another 6 will come off. This cud be a possiblity and can be as these 6 have hanger facility to accomodate 2 helos, so with required modification, Ka-31 can be integrated.

abt the MiG-29s, this report says 28 x MiG-29. The figures for the number of MiG-29s is still not clear. This was posted by Jai in IN discussion Thread
Adm Gorshkov’ to hit city in 2008
MUMBAI: The Russian-built 45,000-ton aircraft carrier ‘Admiral Gorshkov’ will be commissioned into the Indian Navy by end of 2007 and arrive in Mumbai in early 2008, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, Madanjit Singh announced on Tuesday.
Addressing mediapersons on board the aircraft carrier INS Viraat, he said a team from the Indian Navy was already in Russia to oversee the refurbishment work, which is progressing ahead of schedule.
The Rs 7,000-crore deal was signed on January 21, 2004, by former defence minister George Fernandes and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ivanov. The financial package includes the supply of the naval variant of 28 MiG-29s.”These planes will be superior to the ones operated by the Indian Air Force (IAF). With an upgraded radar and more powerful engines, the performance of the fighters will be closer to the Sukhois,” he stated. “Admiral Gorshkov, which will be a part of the Western Naval Command, is expected to remain in service till 2033.”
Regarding the building of the first indigenous aircraft carrier, designated as an air defence ship, he said the first steel will be cut in early 2005marking the start of its construction work at the Cochin Shipyard. It will join the Indian Navy in about 10 years.
“About 20 warships are on order at various Indian shipyards and a submarine-building programme will be initiated shortly,” he said. The new ships will have a powerful combat capability.
When asked about the highly-secretive nuclear submarine programme, he said that the navy was “looking at the technology related to a propulsion system which was nuclear-powered.”
k here is another pic of MiG-29M2.
And I’d say this is probably the best Pic of any MiG-29 that I’ve seen. Its so much MiG-29 filled in that frame that its just MiG-29M2 and nothing else.
Oh …. i was mentionaing that in general, But ur very correct there.
Sean,
can u please put the specs once more for all the missiles that go into the ‘cheaper BuK M’ AD system also the pics of 9M100 plzz
the AD system based on R-77 looks pretty good to me. Also its a VLS.
still no one got any pic of MiG’s LFI??
Someone give me whats the latest abt the said deal for AWACS and Gripen deal??…
is there any head way?
its the Russian variant (if am not wrong though) of the said ISRO’s future project of a resuable SLV. Like the second stage coming and landing on an airstrip.
MiG-31.
I guess, it wud be able to do much more if its gets the capablity of supercruise.
Sev,
and Yes, what u mentioned abt the Black smoke is what I was also pointing out, coz the kind of smoke that can be seen is not when the ship is cruising or say is sailing smoothly. Also I guess, there was a pic of Chinese Sovremenny firing its moskit, and in that one too, I guess, there was some extra fumes.
and nice kit there, and whats the news abt the Kuzentzov kit??..any progress?
Ankush,
thats a 2 seater, and comparing it with a single seater is not that good. Not that the MiG-29M1 (probable) will not have good visiblity. but more likely, it will have a hump like the MKI for additional avionics boxes or stuffs like that, so a view like the F-16, F-15 or any other american fighter currently oprating will not be there.
But that said, I dont think that inself shu judge the visiblity, as I don think someone wud do 180 degree back turn views during his ‘normal’ duties ….. in addition to that it also shows the hypocricy of those who have been basjing the Russian fighter for lack of BVR. So if we are to take BVR,. then visbility shud not even come as any parameter in judging the ‘modernity’ of any a/c.
its isn’t flame my dear friend.
U need to come out of ‘WEST’ to know what Russian actually is and what it was!
also Warsaw is not Russia!
