whatever it is Hornets enjoyed that 5000+ kg of internal fuel (if am not wrong) very early and that impress me most, coz of its comparatively small airframe. But the E/F version has more like 6000+ kg of internal fuel (but also 1 +m extra length), but the new ‘stealthy’ pylons has caused more drag and the fuel advantage is not to be seen in its range.
where as the new MiG-29M2 has a 5,600Kg internal fuel and 6,500 Kg of weapons load. where as the K version has it with 5,100 Kg internal fuel and 5,500 Kg of weapons load.
And thats what I’d have loved to see impreov on the MiG … a weapons load of atleast 6,500 Kg (on K) and a fuel load like the Super Hornets 6,000+ Kg.
But then considering that air-launched 2 x Klub (future) wud very much come within that 5,500 Kg weapons load range, that number is still good enough.
And i fail to understand the mods who deleted the AIDS campain from me??…. but failed to deleted the message on which I based it. Are u guys having a condom manufacturing unit , there by the vigrous campaigners like the blah blah channel, MTV etc etc …. USE CONDOM PREVENT AIDS????
Its really PITY. NOW some ____ wud delete this one too. SHAME ON YOU!
well its not surprising to see not much comment from EU , as I think all are hell struck. As usual with any Russian stufss, they don like seeing this Russian stuff to get new life too….. Also Indian media, a dollor eating media had the lowest coverage of this GLONASS, but i can bet if it was a GPS recievers being developed by an Indian company, there wud have been a 24/7 coverage on that and the growing sweetness of Indo-US relation or for that matter if it was the European constellation.
What’s the advantage of India participating in both Glonass and Galileo projects?
to be frank brother, u lack something ………….. the GLONASS carrot was just to make sure the Indo-Russian GLONASS NOT TO HAPPEN! ….. and hope the Indian media and other drooling abt the same end the chapter of the EU stuffs. The same thing was what the Isreali’s and Unkil played with the AWACS, now Indian is a comfortable 3 yrs away and effectively extended life to 7-8 yrs of the Unkil’s allys military Junta, starting from 1999
There is another thread stsrted by me, if u guys don mind can u guys move this to the Misile section (coz of the satellite launchers, after all its rockets and GLONASS wud be meant for missiles more often) and merge the two threads??? …. PLZZZZ

Great, more waste in the space. Why investing in another expensive goodie while there are few to use. Just to get milimeter accuracy or to avoid problems when US shuts the system down?
yes, and w/o any time loss every effort muct be made to stop any new system aka Galileo.
GLONASS was already there and now its under repair to say so. So u must focus on any further new systems.
Also to avoid putting more junk, u can even stop the Unkil from launching further satellites from the current 24 to 30, and if possible, maintain the level of the constellation in its logical end, i.e w/o any further launch, so that more junks can be avoided. That will help in only newere satellites constellation – GLONASS – being the sole Global nav network. That will help a lot!
The Zhuk series is good I won’t deny that, but comparing it over the -73, or even worse, the -79 on the Super Hornet….it just can’t compete. Remember we’re talking Russian avionics here. A prime example of the lack of faith in them is that fact that the Su-30MKI, India’s mighty two-seat Flanker fleet, is to be fitted with foreign systems that aren’t from the former USSR.
so hopefully u’ll be able to tell apart each foreigh components that go into MKI …. go ahead.
I don think so, though its rumoured, RAC-MiG is not gonna simply leave – probably their best bet of 5th Gen – like that, but the Yakolev’s design for the JSF is a different story.
I hope this one see light in the future – RAC-MiG LFi —– as a Indian Navy – RAC-MiG project so as for the next gen a/c for the carriers as well as a lighter 5th Gen Fighter.
RAC-MiG has been reported to be working on their own 5th Gen a/c, so hope this one come to life. An indian involvement in the form of funding and others wud definetely help this move forward in a much faster pace.
Moreover the two projects — IAF-Russian for 5th Gen AF figher (heavy) and Indian Navy – RAC-MiG for Naval (& AF) 5th Gen (Light) fighter can get and compliment each other in the development of the stuffs, with the outcome being an AF and Naval 5th Gen fighter.
Now the funding and the advance payment issues shud not arise, as India shud give the advance for the fighters and not bank on the silly issues like we cant buy a fighter after funding the development of it, like the case of many other deals. The Russian companies (mainly RAC-MiG) wont be able to do it from their pocket as such, so an investment from the Indian side wud be a very positive development.
But then this (advance payment or investment) shud not come as an obstacle coz even the well Nourished Isrealis had squeezed out an advanced payment of $350million from the Indians for the Phalcon.

As Paul said, the below pictures are not that of MiG-LFi, but that of Integral. Sorry for the mistake.
It’s good to see that F-18E/F was not choosen to compare with a very formidable a/c like the new MiG-29M2, after all the Super Hornets only recently got the 60 era Soviet super tech to keep it in Air. For the MiGs , even though fall the basic items like the multchromatic displays , FBW etc etc was to get-on to earlier Mig’s, the financial crisis delayed it.
thats something which India Lacks.
I hope BR dont have these pictures, so they can get in this too in the Gorshkov section. Along with the info of the Boilers to get in more details abt the work going on the Gorshkov

also for the other experts in here who had challenged the Indian Naval delegations clearing the Gorshkov fit for IN, by concluding that Gorshkov hull was …… in such a bad condition etc etc …. but i can say they never had seen it, maybe with this wud be the pics that had come out in recent times of the Gorshkov ?
Tks man, is there any more???…… mainly any interior picts?
let me put the pics in here too……..

and the Indian Naval Delegation on Gorshkov , Jai has posted this before.

u mean Sevamesh??…
also this one, which JaiS had posted in IN discussion, but its all Russian

oh yean 4got to tell abt the nose ……..
these two are actually the same, isn’t it??……. except for a small difference with a more angled stablisers, a bit different canopy and possible the wing root (?) ….
most welcome
is there anyone who can get some info from Sevamesh site??….. its all Russian there
Sean ,
yes, i think its gonna bsed on the S-47 with a conventional backward swept wing …… i mostly believe the Pak-Fa is gonna resemble the conventional swept winged like what the right side drawing shows, a CG image is also there below along with the F-22, which means ….. it cud actually be nearer to this one ……
