Philip was former admin of BR. If you have a problem with his post, why not discuss it in BR itself (like somany are doing)? I don’t think it is proper nettiquite to discuss a poster when he is not here to defend himself.
IMVHO..
Digressing from the topic quite far…we are…but since a reply is warranted..I would suggest that my statement not be construed as criticism. I was merely expressing my… 😮 admiration 😮 … for this character’s ingenuity, deviousness, and low-down cunning. How in heaven would it be improper “nettiquite” if I praise someone for doing his job well (however low down it might be) and why would he want to defend himself from praise.
I would make this the last post from me with regards to this matter. Let us concentrate on the IAF…thank you.
With regard to the DRDO payscale; 13,000 or 15,000 basic does not give the full picture because DA and other allowances would probably exceed the basic. Regardless, the total package could be deemed insufficient for senior scientists.
As an aside, I was going through BR and it seems to have become the playground of pakistani psy-op specialists, most notably a character named Philip who from the writing pattern seems to also be using other pseudonyms there too. A character well-versed in Goebbelian and Machiavellian arts lol.

I think @Wisepanda that the kid has some problems.
I think he forgot to take his ADHD medicine….
Grow up son, grow up….go get a life instead of trolling….
I am sure the kid has learnt his lesson and there will not be a Rat Shack-2.

😡 I’m with Eric here – can we stop going so wildy off topic now and go back to talking about the Russian Air Force? 😡
I was expressing my opinion with regards to the opinion expressed by Sferrin. I realize that it might have been slightly off topic, but in my opinion relevant to Russian interests too. I hope there are no bad feelings. 🙂
Peace

It seems to me that some people are just unwilling to let things be, and certainly it is not surprising since they are trained from childhood to become dictatorial personalities able to take on dictatorial responsibilities at short notice.
I am sure there is no reason for anybody to take this as a personal insult since I accord you the respect of not taking names even though you are unwelcome guests to this thread with unwelcome intentions.
Hilarious, I am amused at the level some Liberation Army Rat Sharks and Military Dictatorship Rodent Sharks (it seems the Rats and Rodents are Shacking together and PUMPING 😮 each other full of SPIRIT or whatever 😮 for trolling purposes in a RAT SHACK) will fall to in their attempt at trolling. Perhaps next time we can expect videos with the barbie doll song replacing their national anthems with equally hilarious shots showing their respective dictators dancing to the tune….perhaps this will keep the respective dictators happy…..because happy dictators are peaceful dictators…..and keep them from going to war the next time they have an acute attack of constipation, which unfortunately is a malady that dictators are predisposed to (considering that they are constantly STRAINING to cling on to power). Keep the laxatives handy Rat/Rodent Shackers, even you might need them since such heavy trolling might tighten up the bowels.
I am surprised at the psychology manifested here. The Tejas (we stopped calling it LCA a few years ago) must be alarming these dictatorial personalities no end for them to go to such lengths. Amusing….Lol. 😀

Continuing from my previous post…….
What I have elucidated above just reflects what could happen when a dictatorship goes rogue, when it starts perceiving itself as a superpower……one must understand that the dictatorial mindset can perceive a lot of things that are not true and this can be based on the paranoid mentality that drives such rogue countries……as history has time and again showed……most notably the nazis……There are no checks and balances, as are inherently present in democratic societies, to keep such rogue countries from straying onto the wrong path.
What they intend and what they can do are two different things. The intention of the liberation army dictatorship might be as I have stated above in the previous post, but in todays world I would say that such intentions can be laughed away as a lot of hot gas.
To invade and take control of Tibet, a peaceful buddhist nonmilitaristic country, and peaceful nomadic mongols who live in mostly isolated herder communities when they least expected it would be childs play for any tiny country with a few thousand trained soldiers and to my mind does not reflect any great military achievement. It just reflects the corruption, greed, and nepotism that drives such a regime that it would invade and enslave peaceful people.
The problem with most dictatorships is the inherent instability and paranoid mentality that pervades through the length and breadth of such nations. It would be interesting to see if such inherent contradictions can balance out in the long run and if such nations can survive. As of yet, no nation has been able to survive through totalitarianism unscathed. Usually they break up into pieces or the situation ends in civil war and chaos. Of course crushing its democratically oriented citizens under tanks regularly can be an option to keep them in line, but who knows how long such tactics will work.
Of course a timetable of 50 to 75 years to go rogue might very well be purely hypothetical since such a country might probably cease to exist by then.
Then again one has to consider the fact that the armed forces are corrupted by narrow-minded ideology as I have previously elucidated in another thread to such an extent that the armed forces, especially the air force, are reduced to just paper tigers and probably even the tiniest of democratic countries with a capable military can easily hold them off without any effort. It just remains to be seen when they try their luck against a well militarized country, probably Taiwan. When the liberation army dictatorship tried to encroach on Indian territory in the mid to late 1980s, the Indian army made them run squealing with their tail between their legs and they have not tried anything adventurous again.
In a world where countries are trying for peace, making endeavors towards globalization and bringing the citizens of the world together to make certain that the horror of war is not visited on anybody again, to see a desire for a cold war between the liberation army dictatorship and democratic countries is appalling, but on second thoughts only to be expected from dictatorial personalities from dictatorships. It is outrightly hypocritical if not amusing. A citizen of a dictatorship that is trying to just about find a foothold in world affairs…..just because it has managed to produce a moderately capable fighter aircraft….. boasts of getting into a cold war lol….funny….
The Russian Air Force and air forces of other democracies can whip aircraft flown by sheep and cattle any day. Lol. 😀

Definitely a very good idea from the Korean point of view. With the Liberation Army dictatorship next door gaining in military and economic might, one wonders what the future holds as I have elucidated in the currently last post of the “Russian Air Force in Deep Crisis thread.” It pays to be ready for any eventuality. My best wishes towards early completion of the project.

Once again I am taking no names and please nobody take it personally.
The Tejas is a fantastic aircraft without doubt and it does not need pretended appreciation to soar to greater heights Lol. 😀
It seems the biter bit. I was referring to nobody in particular, but a certain person thinks I am referring to him. Obviously he believes he has all the qualities I have attributed to toadies in himself to believe I am referring to him. Perhaps….he….is…..right. Some people are naturally paranoid lol…and that too is a normal state of affairs I believe in people who have ID problems. Hope the ID Crisis resolves. Best wishes. 🙂
Period End.

There are definitely times when I think about the good old days of the Cold War. Both sides tip-toed around the other and kept the rest in check for the most part. There were still terrorists though and I don’t know that it would work the same way today. I expect we’ll find out though in ten or twenty years when China has become a superpower. It will be interesting to see how the world polarizes or if it does. India could go either way I think and Russia will probably side with China. Interesting times in store that’s for sure.
India would go where its interests lie. When the neighboring Liberation Army dictatorship has a Strategic Partnership with another neighboring military dictatorship and is helping it build nuclear weapons and selling or donating it long range nuclear capable missiles (that get launched with local names like ghauri, shaheen et al) in contravention to UN and MTCR guidelines which it purportedly abides by and the Liberation Army dictatorship covets certain Indian territories, then India by logic would follow a path where its interests are protected and nobody should have any doubts about that, India knows how to protect its interests.
I agree we are in for interesting times ahead. The Liberation Army dictatorship in times of economic crisis managed to ……..liberate 😮 ……… Tibet and most of Mongolia. Now we wait and see what awaits us when it becomes economically secure. Perhaps in the next 50 to 75 years a large number of South East Asian and Central Asian countries might get……..liberated……..by the Liberation Army.
The Liberation Army dictatorship covets Russian territory in the far east. Russia may make temporary alliances with the Liberation Army dictatorship as it suits them vis a vis the situation with the USA in international forums like the UN, but decidedly in the long run they will be very wary given the past history of border problems, and economic consolidation and a successful push towards boosting military might by the dictatorship just might make them bold enough to move towards confrontation with Russia.
Most assuredly as you say interesting times are in store.

> share technology
that is a very vague statement. selling technology for license manufacture is nothing new and India has availed of it from numerous sources including france (alouette-III, Llama etc).
You need to produce better proof than just bolding a few lines to show that Dassault was willing to “teach” anyone the design secrets and test data that go into designing a a/c like Mirage2000. and the claim of “partnership” in Rafale is laughable – there’s no chance they will give away its secrets. and the most valuable resource is people. there is simply no substitute for experienced people even if all documents and designs are handed over. lets not even get into high tech manufacturing base. all of these need to be developed, and cannot be purchased.
> ong suffering saga of the BAE Systems Hawk deal
you really ought to get your head out from a dark place. plenty of IAF pilots have already graduated from BAE hawk training school and 300 tons of materials have landed in india for the HAL production line.
> end of M2K production
So ? why should we buy in bulk a design at end of its life, with a weak engine to serve for next 40 yrs ? let the PAF and PLAAF buy it.
I am not going to respond to any more of your ignorant rants.
Neatly put Lol. 😀
I am just quoting something from Greek legend. I am not taking any names here, so nobody please misconstrue this to be directed at themselves.
Perhaps the person concerned here is a poor parody of Icarus from Greek mythology, but with the Wax Wings substituted by Tin Wings and almost near the point of no return from the sun. This could perhaps explain the wobbling and bumbling compounding the ignorance in the ranting as you rightly mention. 😉

I will tell you a secret. Sukhois come with lego fasteners with a sign saying right side up, so ppl can snap them together asap
Russian technology at its best!
Of course there is no plant or suppliers who need to be taken care of, there is only a massive Lego plant where everything is sprayed with child safe paint and made sure of…dont tell anyone! There Star, I told you exactly what you wanted to hear, and I hope you are happy!
< Group Hug >
Lol…. 😀
Flaming?
BTW, being “proud” of a plane to which a country’s contribution is little more than its new name is … how shall I put it…. 😮 I had a friend who liked to give names to children he never fathered. Something like that. Some countries make planes, some try to make them and others “feel proud” to give them names without contributing even a coat of paint.
Now get to the topic or not post here.
I am not naming anybody here, so I guess there should be no reason for anybody to take offense or take it as a personal insult.
You raise a very valid point @bandit78. When a person claims to be neither Pakistani nor Chinese and is not proud of the FC-1, then comes here to bait the Tejas, it gives rise to some questions…what could be the motive?
Firstly, I would deduce such a person has an identity crisis. Perhaps just one of those people who live in the west but are unable to find a niche for themselves in a democratic society and thus identify themselves more with dictatorial regimes and lose no opportunity to toady up to citizens of such regimes (even take up toadying avatars) by actively criticizing democratic societies or attempting to belittle their achievements one way or the other.
This forum can be cited obviously as an example of a democratic institution where everyone has a say and this thread is an appropriate representation of that.
Secondly, such people are often very reluctant to disclose the country of their origin. One reason perhaps could be because they are ashamed of it?
I hope nobody takes offense.
The Tejas is a superb aircraft and will only get better.

I was trying to find the Su-30MKI report on the CAG website, but could’nt.
Found something else though : They have an ‘Oracle Forum‘ at the CAG too : 😀http://cagofindia.delhi.nic.in/forums/forums.asp
(Yes, I know it’s the Database thing 🙂 )
edit : It’s a little bit interesting to see what kind of Database troubles these folks face
I am not surprised..oracle forum…huh…lol. 😀
One word, rather two statements of caution
The timeline has been substantially compressed- from a 14 yr program with 10 deliveries yearly to a 10 year one. This will have impacted the investment necessary to ramp up production substantially, compared to a more gradual increase
The CAG report is a year old at the minimum, since that is how the system operates, plus it could relate to an earlier period which the audit covers
Hence, the integration of equipment is not an issue and is a sideshow
The “meat” so as to say, is the program cost.
Neatly summarized.
Yes, I do know much about China’s procurement, ORBAT, and a lot of stuff. Not all, but enough. Seems to me you are naive about armstrade. The fact is, arms sales have to be registered with the UN and made public according to international arms treaty and UN requirements. You will know if something is sold or not. Seems to me, you don’t even know how basic things work in international armstrade.
Well……well……I would give you that much. You certainly DO know a lot about the peoples ARMY air force, especially their training……and ideology……and pilot attitudes….and selection…..and crashing……especially mass crashing with intent to commit suicide as you have previously knowledgeably mentioned in another post….eh.
Another fact, since India is a democracy, a lot of people exercise their freedom of speech to write articles online and in newspapers that are sometimes (not all the time but unfortunately very often) not even worth the effort of reading through and which most of us either read and laugh off or just plain ignore. Of course, such harmless speculative articles would be considered sedition in dictatorships and thus something that dictatorial personalities in dictatorships are unused to. So I can understand the naiveness thus exhibited in citing such articles that are old hat and attributing too much credibility to them.
It seems to me that old threads that might prove to be the catalyst in instigating some heated discussions……seem to pop up just when things get interesting sometimes, like this old LCA thread ….. and some other threads that popped up in the past at similarly interesting times ….lol…. Perhaps a moderator would be the ideal person to explain how these catalysts seem to materialize at these moments….lol 😉
