Just a short “Test Flight” Stanstead to Luton.
Just departing Stanstead.

Looking good so far.
Right on the Money. 😀

After landing at Tokyo, 11.5 hrs in total, i took a quick spin to this familiar destination, one guess should do it 😀
Errr!!!
Kai-Tak?? 😀
Superb Screenies, the top one looks like a photo.

No, it just goes off completely.
What just FS, or the whole PC?
Virus maybe?
– 256MB PCIe (TM)x16nVidia(R) GeForce TM 7300LE Turbo Cache with VGA*DVI
Only suggestion I would make is that the “Turbo Cache” GFX card is not the best.
The Turbo cache system uses your main RAM to make a total of 256MB, you’ll probably find the card itself is only 64MB.
Dean mate… You really gotta get out more. 😀
Well, it was only £9.99 brand new, so I thought I would get that and then upgrade to a better edition when I am more confident. I didn’t want to pay a huge amount for the latest software, just incase I didn’t get on with it and ended up not using it…
Excellent point. 🙂
And FS04 isn’t much different in any case, mostly just looks nicer, so when you do upgrade you’ll still have the foundations from FS02.
I’m guessing the ‘aim’ of the excercise would be to still have your fictional airline in business after a couple of months 😛
How so?
There are MORE than enough No Frills airlines running these routes already.
Ergo… more competition.
And I dont see Richard Branson complaining about the way his airline is going.
Don’t Virgin offer that little bit extra (in First) like Door to Door service.
Just one example of a Large “Private” Airline that’s doing fine.
And…
Aren’t “United” the largest Private Airline in the World?
Or maybe that’s 2 examples.
Southampton has handled Britannia or Thomsonfly 757s regularly in the past; I think a Palma flight on a Saturday was operated in the Summer of 2004 or 2005?
Probably just a “Seasonal” thing.
Just my opinion…
But isn’t it sad that a lot of “Long(ish)-Haul” and “Transatlantic” flights are operated with 767’s or 777’s now?
Are 747’s slowly (or rapidly) becomming a thing of the past, or is it purely that they’re less economical?
If this is the case… Then why the need for the A380?
Why does everyone want to operate “No Frills” short haul from small airports?
If we are talking in a dream world, and money no object, which I presume we are, I’d operate a fleet of B744’s with a minimum 36″ seat pitch in Economy. And all the usual extras in Business and First.
Sites such as Simviation and AvSim (amoung others) still have loads of Dl’s for FS2002. 🙂
