Do the Russians have any AESA type Radar under development for the Navy ?
AFAIK, There are just one “ground” AESA in development, in order to integrate it with the S-500 system. No sure what task will perform, but given the S-500 design guidelines, it may by an ABM orientated radar. A sort of “Green Pine-sky”.

Let stay in the present days. A carrier group formed by the Kuznetsov, the Peter the Great, 2 Sovremenny class destroyers, 2 Udaloy class destroyer, an Oscar II SSGN and an Akula SS can be matched by a single USN carrier Group? I don’t think so. The problem for Russia is that can build just one Group of such a composition. Nevertheless, this group should rule the sea from Kola to Greenland.
For me, a nuclear powered Kuznetsov type carrier is the best option. To place the Kirov reactor on a second Kuznetsov in order to maximize commonality with previous vessels looks fine. Then place 30 “Naval PAK-FA” on each one of the two carries.
Place one in the Arthic and one in the Pacific. Add to each carrier a respective Kirov :diablo: and their respective Oscar II, destroyers and SSN as escorts. Nothing in the Earth will be able to confront such groups.

😮
As far I know, no other country have a food-productivity like Argentina, around 2.5 ton grains /year hab. Even USA is still behind in such a issue.
Sineva tested in a very long range path. (Sounds strange )
I think there is one more in construction. Planned? I don’t know.
It seems bad but not unrecoverable. Anyway, its restoration will probably be quite expensive. Fool Ukrainians. They should have sold it to the Russians just at time of the division of the Soviet Black Sea fleet.
I also think, it will be a good deal for Russia to take it, but just in case is recoverable. It is obvious that the current Ukraine is unable to deal with such a Cruiser. I.e. Yuschenko vs Timoshenko vs Yanucovich endless clashes are impairing the development of the country. The key is the real state of the “Ukraina”.

Really? How do you define homogeneous culture? May be this is a not conflict-prone region but there are some huge differences between countries, ranging from i.e. the giant regional-power self-sufficient Brazil, to mostly white countries like Uruguay & Argentina (with strong southern-west European flavour) to the mostly Indian Bolivia and a other countries with a big mix of ethnics, cultures. A too complex continent.
So Nicolas, Russia will not take it as a good for debt repayment as was rumoured? I heard this some time ago but according to your information, the ship is likely “unrecoverable”. Sad fate for this magnificent vessel. 😡
Whats the fate of the “Admiral Lobov” aka “Ukraina”? Any information?
Russia starts Soviet-size drills.
It seems that India will rule the Asian skies (Su-30MKI, PAK-FA-50 MKI ). The Paks and Chinese will not be happy with this.
