Yes we in fact know it by the board number 312, it was the second prototype. The aircraft shown in my post is the same aircraft a few years before, but RSK MiG upgraded its original MiG-29K prototypes (No.311 & 312) to support development of the definite MiG-29K (9.41) as is now operated by the IN.

the question was about the wing folding mechanism of the original MiG-29K (9.31) and the new MiG-29K (9.41). Martinez showing these images had the purpose of comparison and indicated that the position of the wing folding mechanism hasn’t changed.

not in those pictures, but at these older pics it looks a bit like the wing folding mechanism was further out.

The F-22 can forward data to the rest of the network via BACN and is getting fitted with MADL to communicate directly with F-35s, B-2s, an AWACS (likely).
Well if what has been demonstrated is operational with the F-22 now as well then yes. But the article couldn’t confirm this as the author states himself.

Looks indeed like 3, 2 under the wings and the one on the rear fuselage station. If you take a closer look it appears like the nose cone and tail of the weapon is visible behind the MLG doors.

Well European air forces just have ~100 Rafales, >200 Typhoons, ~200 Gripen, ~200+ F/A-18, ~100 Mirage 2000-5, several hundered F-16MLU and C/D blk 50/52 vs. ~50 Su-27SM, ~30 MiG-29SMT/UBT and a crap load of non upgraded Fulcrums, Flankers and Foxhounds. Up to date there are exactly ZERO Su-35S in service and at the time the RuAF may receive their first T-50s, European airforces will have introduced their first F-35s as well. Well that’s an incomplete list and I don’t expect any serious conflict with Russia in the foreseeable future, but claiming Europe has nothing at its disposal is not only far stretched, but an outright lie.

the problem with the marketing brochures is that they often talk about capabilities which aren’t yet available. It is known that the AN/APG-77 and AN/APG-79 are set to be provided with a com feature, but are they actually capable to do so quite now and is there any more recent source about the SATCOM on block 30 Raptors. I just have a document from 2005 which still speaks about the block 40 etc. and some things have changed since. The upgrade path for the F-22 isn’t the same as it was planned 5 years ago and the “sharpening the Raptor’s claws” article which is more recent doesn’t loose a single word with regards to the SATCOM. I don’t know about the SH, SATCOM was proposed for block II+, but I have no idea whether this block is already available. The EA-18G is said to feature the SATCOM and it is supposedly based on the blk II with at least some of the II+ features, so it might be possible that SATCOM is in fact already deployed on the E/Fs as well, but I’m still seeking for a confirmation.

some platforms dont use the better coms and rely on L16, i guess the f-22 transmits to the awacs etc and they hub it to others via L16
And how do you link to an AWACS without a datalink compatible? LINK16 equipped aircraft usually don’t communicate between each other, except for a max. of 8 aircraft, but instead sent their data to a “hub” which broadcasts the collected and fused data from various platforms.
SATCOM was at least planned for Block 30 years ago, whether the current aircraft are equipped with it is yet another question, things have changed since the earlier plans and I can’t find any reference for that. If Link 22 is ready and widely deployed sure, but that’s just not yet the case and might take a couple of years. As of now the F-22 doesn’t contribute to a network, but it can benefit from the network via the receive only JTIDS. So up to date and likely for the foreseeable future (~5 years or so) the F-22 won’t be net enabled.

the not net enabled was related to the F-22 and I have explained why before. For the rest I don’t care, it’s not me who made that list. I just explained how Eurofighter arrives at the conclusion that the F-22 isn’t net enabled which was your original question. Just one thing who says the F/A-18E/F won’t have a DIRCM by that time or other aircraft for that matter. You have to take into account that much of the often hyped capabilities/technologies of the F-35 won’t be available until the end of this decade. That’s a couple of years in which other types can be further developed as well. Bear this in mind.

I’m not to sure about that. UMS a German-French company produces unified TRMs, but I was of the impression that the British produce their own. It will be interesting to see what TRM technology will make it into a potential Captor-E for the Typhoon, but that is yet another discussion which doesn’t belong to here.
Years ago it was stated that the wing folding mechanism of the 9.41 would be moved in by 1 m per wing or in other words reduce the span to about 5.8 m as opposed to the 7.8 m on the 9.31. The was said to be a necessity as the Vikrimatya is smaller than the Kuznetsov and as the aircraft wouldn’t fit on the lifts.

the F-22 can communicate with other F-22s via its IFDL, but it can’t forward its own data via DL to anything else, as no other platform uses a DL compliant with the IFDL message standard. With the integration of the MADL the F-22 will at least be able to communicate with other aircraft equipped with that DL (F-35 & B-2 f.e.). By that F-22s can only contribute to the overall SA of a battle group by conventional radio chat.

when later, with what funds and how many engineers were involved in the respective programmes? That there are no firm orders for equipping Typhoons or Gripens with an AESA radar doesn’t mean that Selex and others are “years behind” Thales as such. The platforms on the receiving side may see an AESA just years later, but that doesn’t mean that others than Thales are way behind in the development curve of the technology.

afaik Selex and Thales are using different TRMs. Thales was rejected to provide the antenna for the Gripen AESA radar and Selex was selected instead.
How On earth can Euro fighter claim that The F-22 has no net wrk enabled OPs and that the F-35 doesnt have the Typhoons missile load out? this is flat out dishonest!! why wernt things like Jamming, IRST, DIRCm, Super sonic launch of A2G weapons, Fuel Load, and A2g weaposn and load on this chart?
Well the F-22 can only communicate to other F-22s via datalink. It is capable of receiving data from other sources as well, but it can’t provide its own. By that metric the F-22 isn’t net enabled from the overall force structures point of view. And for that matter, the Eurofighter article spoke about “fighters”, not strikers. That’s the whole point of the article and reasoning behind it. In the end it’s just marketing as that of other manufacturers. That people actually wonder why they make such claims is beyond me. That’s business would be the correct answer. Downplay the competition and present your own product in the best light, nitpick on selective points where your product excels and ignore those where the competitors score. Doing anything else would be bad marketing. That’s much the same when you see the LM slights about the F-22/35 being the only aircraft survivable in a high threat environment, read their marketing ploy about the F-16IN offered to Indian and this aircraft becomes a survivor which can defeat the most advanced air defence systems…
