Also take a look at this film and if you understand Italian all the better – almost completely laminar boundary flow at even 8g (compare that to F22 f.e.).
Finally, this film really puts things into perspective – everyday operational usage.

Those on the fuselage are the LWRs. The MAW sensors are located on the fins Spectra pod only.

Software wise it might well be possible, the problem is that there are just 2 sensors instead of 6 as on the F-35. So without additional sensors you won’t achieve the same coverage.

There’s no situation in which reading the fuel status is cumbersome, because that would mean you’re a lame combat pilot trying to do that at the wrong moment.
Well if you are suddenly forced into a dogfight or a dogfight lasts longer than expected you might well want to check your fuel state to determine your options. Loosing some seconds can get you loose the fight. Ofcourse there are warnings when reaching bingo etc.

The very first pic shows the HSI with a MIDS message at the top (refuel vector). The “will” and “can’t” is used to sent a message back. This doesn’t change the “problem” that you need some time to read the fuel status, not much at all, but in some situations, such as a dogfight it might be less desirable to look down right into the cockpit or even more worse switch the MFD.
The Rafale cockpit has touchscreens instead of buttons. Even the traditional navigation/radio panel below the HUD has been removed. Does this mean that everything, stores management, radar, comms/nav is controlled through touch screens?
Does the Rafale have voice recognition? It appears that the Rafale’s design is midway between the F-22 and JSF with the Typhoon being more traditional like the F-22. The JSF has a touchscreen panel as well.

What you said. RAF Typhoons can use KFF and EPW II and the Litening III. Other aircraft are stuck with GBU-10/16 for the moment. P1E is underway with GBU-48 and PW IV being integrated right now, plus full integration of the Litening LDP.
