Nobody has made any (serious) conclusions that far regarding rafale vs Typhoon…Funny to see that people can make criticisms before that there is a case to make one !:D

This image is unfortunately a bit small, but shows some Rafales and Typhoons flying together. It appears that these Typhoons are spanish ones from the Ala 11 and the twinseater seems to feature the PIRATE.
If i am not mistaken, those were taken at “Typhoon Meet” by a Portuguese F-16 OCU from Esquadra 301 “Jaguares” stationed at Monte Real.

Doesn’t look like an F-16 HuD to me, though just a fraction is shown. Quite some time ago someone posted a video were HuD imagery from an F-16MLU was shown with the Typhoon in sight.
The 1.8 M is the claimed speed with A-A load with AB, not SC:
My bad overread that. The Typhoon has actually demonstrated it, even M 1.6 with 3 external tanks.
5a) The 5th generation F-35 is the most capable fighter available for export.
5b) The 5th generation F-35 will at full rate production cost LESS than the 4.5 generation Typhoon or Rafale (assuming the Typhoon &/or Rafale are even still in production).

It’s true the speed was not mentioned and I did the math. OTOH, isn’t EF supposed to reach its >30,000 ft. in ~ 2 min? Even if we re-do the math, it’s around 1.1 M. Impressive, but by no means close to F 22.
Also, in AB, according to the same paper, the EF (with only AAMs) will travel to ~ 1.3M. Still far from the 1.8M trumpeted. The point is that the EF would fly 1.8M and supercruise to 1.2M , but not for too long. The real figures are lower.
Who says M 1.8 supercruise for the Typhoon? You don’t have the figures so you don’t know what’s fact or not, yet you claim with certainity.
Scorpion, you are probably the best person to ask this. I have this idea that a few JG73 pilots have been “playing” with the pre-series Striker, am i correct?
Not that I know about. Evaluation and qualification is done by the WTD61 at Manching and as Laage AB is almost daily visited by spotters I’m sure someone would have spotted it if the helmet was worn. But I’ll ask someone who might know this for sure. Could take a few days before I get an answer.

Another good news the Typhoon’s new Striker helmet is cleared now for operational use, though it will still take some month before it reaches the frontline.
Fly in JaboG 31
The first 4 Eurofighter arrived at Nörvenich AB in western Germany today. Nörvenich is home to the Jagdbombergeschwader 31 “Bölcke” (FBW 31) which is the third Luftwaffe unit to introduce the type and the first multirole wing to be formed with the type. The official in service ceremony is expected for tomorrow. The 4 aircraft included GT010, GS014, AS009 and AS010. It’s expected that just 2 of these aircraft will remain in Nörvenich after the official in service ceremony. The 4 aircraft (2 T1 and 2 T2) were ferried from Laage AB, home of the JG 73 “S”.
Tornado F3?
Though I’m not to 100% sure I think that the F3 or Tornado in general wasn’t in production anymore at the time and the F3 is certainly a bit to expensive to operate, let alone that it’s certainly not an overly good choice for an air defence fighter. It was ok for its intended long range interception role, but as an air defence fighter its performance is modest to say the least.

The Swiss is a neutral country and isn’t going to engage anyone, so there there is no need for an overly expensive stealth striker.

What would the Swiss want with the F-35?
Such as pretending that the sensors on the EF can detect and track the F 35 (I suppose at meaningfull distances, because at 10 miles, it probably does…)?
Or pretending that it can “supercruise” at 1.2M, only to see (at the Norway tender) that the real number is 1.05 M?
Oh have they stated any supercruise speed in the norwegian presentation? No they haven’t but I know you refer to the time required to reach the point and do the math. But is it said that this doesn’t include take off, time to climb and accelerate? The aircraft doesn’t start mid air at supersonic speeds but has to get there.
