19 (F) Sqn, Spitfire LF.XVIe
John Rawlings in “Fighter Squadrons of the RAF” lists SL690 QV*A and TE470 QV*B.
In the book by Paul Lucas “Camouflage and Markings No 1 RAF Fighters 1945-50 UK Based” there is a photo of 19Sqdn Mk XVIs at Biggin Hill in September 1946. This shows starboard sides of QV*J, QV*W and QV*X. It could be that with the original of this photo you might be able to pull out the serials but I don’t think that would be possible with the reproduction in the book. QV*W has the sqdn code behind the roundel.

Zumbach’s Donalds
There is a small booklet published by Wojtek Matusiak titled “Zumbach’s Donalds” Model Detail Photo Monogrpah No 5 by Rossagraph ISBN 83-916229-5-9. It includes a large number of photographs of this artwork on a variety of Spitfire VBs mainly B&W but also some colour.
“Voytech” used to be a regular on this board.

Brilliant website
It is not quite the answer you are looking for but this website is exceptionally helpful in deciphering wartime map references eg from ORBs and it is helpful in confirming locations where placenames and spellings have changed.

268 Sqdn
Dave
Thanks very much for this lead very interesting.
It seems likely that these interviews were made with Trevor Mitchell and Morris Sinclair of 268Sqdn. Morris Sinclair was an Aussie. He was hit by flak on 22 Jan 1943 and became a POW.
This info is courtesy of massive research into 268 Sqdn undertaken by Colin Ford in Australia.

Not much immediate help but Ray Sturtivant has been working on an Air Britain book about presentation Spitfires for some while now. I believe the book was expanded in an endeavour to include ALL RAF presentation a/c and I have heard that it is now expected to appear this year.
