I’ve seen it race at Reno 2009 and last year. They said last year that they had added 10 mph to its top speed by taking it windscreen wiper off.

I would love to see some unlimited racers at legends. My first choices would be – Bearcat ‘Rarebear’ Sea Fury ‘Dreadnought’ and Griffon powered Mustang ‘Precious Metal’
I have seen them at Reno. But I would go to the leg ends if they where there.

To me all bubble canopy and two seat Spitfires are ugly. Give me Hawker Hart family biplanes any day.

Well Done.

We are currently working on a Schleicher K6 and have a Slingsby T45 Swallow to follow. We have a Tiger and an Auster “Wiv an ‘ook on t’ back” for the towing. Magic.
Just been helping my father do a C of A on a K6. I must get on doing a bit more on my Slingsby Kite 1’s. My father has put most of the ply on the Prototype’s wings.

The Drone went to Peter Kirk. My father recoved the wings for him. I took the wings back on an open trailer I think to Top Farm. That is Terry Pankhust holding the wing of the Drone with Mike in the cockpit.I remember one time the Drone landed at Duxford it was smelling of burnt wood, the prop had started to move in the boss.

Mike did ask to have the painting changed. When he was given it. So this must been taken at Mike’s house. As i’ve only seen it twice. It was made up of photo’s we had taken.
The car was Mike Princess ant the CF van was my works van. I had to follow the trailer with the fuselage on, closely as you couldnt see the indecators very well.

Here’s a painting that we the Russavia crew had done for Mike Russell. It shows some of the aircraft that Mike had dealings with. The B17 Mike flew in at the end of the war. The Dragon project was sold off. Im the the one standing at the nose of the Rapide with my young son on my shoulders. I wound not wish to put him on my shoulders now! He’s bigger than me.
Dave
Yes that is Mike Russell. Also the moving of one of the wings and tailplane
