    Your welcome.

I also have a Russavia green ticket for the same aircraft issued by Swb, the flight being on the 13.4.86 that cost £9… and a yellow ticket issued by PM that cost £8 for a DC-3 for the 6.7.85 , take off 1.15 & landed 1.26. But sadly i didnt note down the reg.
Have a funny feeling though it was a Air Atlantique DC-3!

Yes we did use Air Atlantique DC-3’s

This is the XB-70 crash site. Taken two years ago. My son and I went to this crash crash site and the XB-49 before we travelled up to Reno.

I would be carefull with loaning things to museums. I have seen many things get lost over the years in museums. I have nearly lost things i lent to big museums. A friend lost a cockpit section, when new managers to over a museum! Many may be ok. But get it down in writing, in case the next people who run the museum think that its been donated.

Its strange! I have been looking at my photos of Galloping Ghost before and after the crash. But I still can’t watch the video’s of it crashing. Saw them on the US news. But dont want to see it again. I feel for the injured people and families of those that died. I felt bad years ago when our Russavia Rapide swung on take take off, but know one was hurt. But not like this. I am intrested in what happend, but know we must wait for the NTSB report.

I had a friend who went on a cycling holiday to France. He went by Bristol Freigther. They loaded the bikes and cars. The freighter tried to take off but was to heavy. So they taxied back unloaded a car. Then took off and flew to France.

Nice photo’s. I still have a 1949 AJS 500cc single at home. Which i’ve had for 36 years. Cost me £10.00.

It was hot work rigging and derigging the vintage gliders. Great to see the BE2 and the Fokker Dr1 turn up.

I remember many conversion’s with Mike Russell and other aircraft restorer’s about getting a DH86 built. He always thought one would be built in the near future. It was in a DH 86 that he had his first flight, so he always wanted to see one fly again.

It was a good day. I was a bit surprized that more people didn’t turn up. I didn’t leave until after 8pm. Helping to get some of the aircraft of the airfield and the Kirby Kite into the hangar. A few more aeroplanes where still out when I left.
