I started to go to Old Warden around 1963, when I was 8 years old. The Hurricane was doped sliver with no markings. Airshows with rope barrier’s. aeroplane being put though there pace’s. Not gentle aerobatics like today. Visting aircraft taking off over the parked cars (yes I was there when the Cessna 172 G-ASHE crashed into the cars in 1966). But I have many good memories to. The LVG in a dark hangar. Seeing the Stearman G-AROY take of with 2 passengers in the front hopper compartment A ATC trip when my friend swung the EE Wren prop! the engine run for a little while. Thanks for showing the photos. Now when I go their I quite otfen helping on the live side with vintage glider’s.
