It has no engine fitted. The engine is on display near the I-16. There are two orginal I-16s in museums in Russia. But I dont know what they are like.

The band was ‘Hayseed Dixe’. We went to Finland for my son’s 28th birthday. I wanted him to have a birthday he would remember. The museum is well worth going to. I hope to go again. There is something for every body. Aircraft. glider’s and some flying model’s and engine’s. It was a bit cold this time of year, but its a dry cold so it seem warmer then here. We had lots of snow. It never stopped snowing on monday, but every thing keep on going. the bus was 3 minutes late to the airport. Snow blowers keep the airport open. Im having trouble down loading photos at the moment( need my son’s help). wont be long then I’ll post some photo’s.

I dont see why the lanching method would not work. The Wright Brothers used a weight to lanch the first flyer’s.

A Colditz C**k glider was built but the late John Lee, I think the wings where built by Southdown Sailplanes? It was for a documentary on the TV. A few of the Colditz prioners who built the orignal saw it fly! It differed by only having a single seat. The plans where modifided post war to a single seat. There is another Colditz glider being built at the moment.

Their is a Miese for sale down south at the moment, that needs a lot of work, I beleive.

Yes the glider behind is our Grunau Baby 11b. It is very nearly airworthy. It should fly next year. We have taken it to two Shuttleworth air displays as a static exhibit for the Vintage Glider Club this year.

An up date on the prototype Kirby Kite. new wing spars have been made, they still need plying on one side. New wing ribs have been made. The fuselarge frames have been remade using as much original wood as possible. The rudder is 75% done. Today I have taken the elevator apart and put its spar in a jig in my living room ready for reglueing.

I havent done any thing with the other Kirby Kite yet. It is the original fuselarge of BGA310 which was damaged when it spun in.

The book say’s that R.J.Westmacott later entered the Rollason aircraft Design competition with T.G. Chambers, and their Chamcott Challenger was placed 5th. But thats all.
