Anybody trying to get out over the main spar in the dark in a hurry on a Lanc hasn’t got much chance. The Hali you can just about walk upright the entire lenght of the fuselarge. I have been in both. I have met more people who got out of Halifax’s. But a lot depends on luck i think.

Yup, it’s Tucson. The image was from a new book by photographer Edward Burtynsky, illustrating man’s reliance on oil and the lansdcapes it has created. Thought provoking stuff.
I saw them in september. My son took a photo of them from the road. Just down the road is a car scrap yard with a jeep on top of a building. Not far from the museum at Pima
Its from Hungary, Weiss W.M 13. Yes i have Janes 1938.

Should you need drawings of Eon gliders the Vintage Glider Club has some of them. I have seen some of the Eon Baby which are German wartime plans with Eon printedon the bottom of them.

I found this picture in the summer 2009 Vintage Glider News, taken by Charles Brown. It shows a EoN Olympia 1. You can see the EoN logo. The people are Ann Douglas/Welch, Lorne Welch, Walter Morrison and Hugh Kendal at Redhill 1947.

I would think that the casein glue got damp and it fell to piece’s. The fate of many old wooden aircraft.

Climb ladders. Nooooooo. To dangerous 😀
Camera on end of monopod and held above head with remote shutter release to click the pic. 😉

Nice photos. As a person who thatches roofs for a living, I cant see any problem with ladders 🙂
