Thanks John. There where some photos of udets Flamingo when i got the skywriting SE5a photo of ebay, but i cant spend all my money on pictures!
Dave
The BFW U 12 Flamingo D764 photo i posted was Paul Baumer’s aircraft. Here’s another one on skis , can anybody tell who the people are.
Thanks
Dave
Steve you seem to be having fun identifying my photo’s. Heres a Udet Flamingo. They have a conection with Dunstable, Beds as Alfred Weyl of Dart Aircraft was involved with the desgin work. The other photo I think was taken at Mourmelon. As i now have the other photo that was part of the deal, with an 88sqdn Battle in the background.

Yes some Sea Gladiators did have provision for two extra 303, Also my late W.O E.A.C.Barfoot school teacher and close friend flew a Gladiator K6147 and crashed it on landing 18/10/43 (flat tyre) At Habbaniya Iraq, this aeroplane was fitted with six machine guns. He also flew this aircraft to a hight of 33,000ft on 23/4/43 on a met flight. This was endorsed in his log book. He later wrote a book of his wartime life called ‘AIRBOURNE FOR THE DURATION’ the odyssey of a ruptured crab.
Dave
I cant remember the author. I got the book from Graham Simons, who is also on the forum.
Good Luck
Dave
Yes, i did have the book up until about two years ago.
Dave
Sorry but i dont like re-enactors, they just spoil it for me. I know a few other people with the same view.
Dave
The Handley Page Hereford for me.
Dave
Thanks John. Have you noticed that the 150sqdn Battle on the right has had work done on the wing under surface as paint has been removed. Here’s two more taken at the same time.
Dave
Well done that was about five minutes, i think.
Dave
Lets see how long this one lasts.

My father has always wonderd if making all the geodetics was worth the time and effort, compared to a stressted skin aircraft. Which can be made more easy. I do remember watch a war time film of a Wellington being made in a day.
Dave
Is it a Polish RWD 8
