There where two projects to build an HP 42. One was a long held dream of Mike Russell and the other one that had a tent at a Woburn Moth Rally.

Most Slingsby pre war gliders had the Kirby in front of the types name, but i dont know if this was used on post war types. The Slingsby Motor Tutor G-AKEY is a type T29A , the T29B was G-AKJD which i saw crash at Dunstable in 1964.

Well done, now see what you can do.

Is ther a problem with the engine? my father went to Old Warden on monday and said the engine was out of the Storch.
Peter Chamberlain who was a member of The Upward Bound Trust at Haddenhan ( RAF Thame ) wrote a small book on the history of Haddenham airfield. I see he is still looking for information in the Aeroplane Monthly.

I have just found my original copy of the ATC Gazette Vol 111 no 4 april 1943 priced 6d. The last post was from a photo copy in did for Chris Wills of the VGC. So i did not know the date. There is another photo of the Falcon flying on the next page, but i cant get it to down load. So i need my son’s help again before i can show you.
