Yes Mike Russell was the son of D.A.Russell. Mike was part of the Harleyford publishers. The Russavia logo was the same as the later Harleyford logo, a flying horse.

Could I ask where you got the diagram from? I’m just wondering if there is ready literature out there with regards to WWII Russian cockpits and yokes? Thanks[/QUOTE]
I put it on Facebook, Early Russian and Soviet aircraft and some one put this on, from IC.Pics.Livejournal.com

Latest piece to my collection. Russian relic Pe-2 control yoke.

The items in the photographs are in the ‘Soldiers of Oxfordshire’ at Woodstock. I came across the earlier in the year.

It dose not look like the airstrip at Eaton Bray. No airstrip in Totternhoe other than the gliding club.

Started to build wing and parts of tailplane for the original Kite 1 BGA310. But will now be BGA327.

Do we need to have another big thing at the moment? We have been lucky to have had the two Lancasters and the Vulcan. More than we could have expected a few years ago. Lets just sit back and see what restoration projects are coming to the end. I have seen the WW1 RE8, Snipe and Albatross fly in the UK, plus WW2 P39, P47s things I could never have dreamed of years gone bye. So lets just wait and see.

We took the Kite back up to Sutton Bank for its 80th birthday a few weeks ago.

It sat in the hangar most of race week. Still I got to take a few more photos.

I use to fasten Russavia’s Rapide G-AGTM’s cowling’s with the engine’s running. Its quite safe if you know what you are doing and careful. But never had a Hi vis jacket.

The MB-5 was outside its hangar at Stead airfield Reno today. We saw it as we came out from the races. Its in the pit area, will have a look at it tomorrow when we go around the pits. Have seen it for a few years.
