Don’t no what the bits are unfortunately. When i when up there in the early 1970’s . Their was the engines and a big piece of armour plate, which looked like it came from the rear turret behind the gunner. Also saw the armoured door/window from above the pilot. My son spoke to a local that brought a machine gun down from the site in the 60’s. But that had long gone, i think the parents found out.
The Victor is in the front half of the new super hanger. It looks very tatty, in need of a new paint job. The only things we didn’t see was the Ju52 and the Casa 2111 (He 111) fuselarge yesterday.
Thank Alex. I am just trying to identify a prop boss i have. It has slight traces of red on it. It is beautifully made with lots blocks of curved wood.

The yellow primary. is a EON ETON. Which use to live at Dunstable. But i cant remember its BGA number
Shuttleworths EON primary is G-ALPS. My father is over seeing its restoration. At the moment they are sorting out the nuts and bolts that hold it together, along with making new cables
Derek Pigott flew a EON primary across the channnel. This is a copy of the german SG38. which is a lot stronger than the grasshopper. Shuttleworth is restoring a EON 7 primary to fly, they also have a Slingsby Grasshopper in store
The Gunbus was damaged on landing. It was on final approach when the a person sitting near us on the track from the road to the bottom of the hill stood up. The pilot had to lift his wing to get over the person. This resulted in a heavy landing, which damaged one of the undercarrage struts.
Shuttleworths AVRO 504K was a 504N when it did glider towing. It was used to tow gliders out over the channel, The gliders where then released and flew back to Dorset. These where to see if gliders could be picked up by RDF, (radar). One glider a Slingsby Kirby kite 1 was built with minimal metal fittings for these for trials. The wings of this glider still survive, these are now fitted to Kirby Kite BGA400 which i am part owner.
