Think it’s worth pointing out that every guest on the One Show has a book, CD or whatever to publicise-in Clarkson’s case a Xmas show of TG. If it is 5secs behind real time, they could have blanked it out. Personally, I am more offended by the extravagant use of the “F” word by so-called comedians, and the crude jokes of that Brand female(?) on QI. Rant over. Thankyou for listening.

Re Goering’s car-sometime in the 1950s it was displayed in a car showroom by Staines bridge( complete with bullet hole). Forget the name of the showroom, but I wonder what happened to it.

Took this around 1956-feel free to edit out my bike if you wish. You wouldn’t be the nice RAF type that allowed us two teenagers to look over her by any chance?
A sister ship to 2504 taken at Lisbon on 16/8/60-what happened to her? It’s 2505- sorry for poor photo, but it is 50 years old.
Millions in Silver Bullion Found on Sunken WW2
Fascinating discussion, but for how long have “war graves” been so classified? Was not the ” Mary Rose” a war grave?

Thankyou both- saved a few euros, hasn’t it?
The yard in question was in Bedfont Road, on the left just before the bend, heading towards Bedfont itself. Next to the cemetery. It later had the BEA Viscount that hit construction equipment on take-off (the plane, not the…..). Used the wrong runway,I believe. Now, as others have pointed out, partly a lake..
