Haven’t used a bus in years, but have to use trains when I’m working in London. As stated by Snapper they are full of the kind of vermin who can’t afford cars and who spend their dole money on ciggies, betting and booze.
Public transport is slow, dirty and outrageously priced. Give me 130bhp, leather seats, climate control and a fine set of CDs any day!
Its speculation repeated by others on this forum. Another case of newer members opinions being unwelcome here?
I’m sure I read somewhere just after the accident that on the evening in question the Blenheim had performed a flyby for the tower at Luton airport. Rather foolhardy if the fuel situation was in any question whatsoever.
Great news! I came across the old Framlingham site in the summer and saw this DC-3 lieing there. Assumed it would just end up being vandalised – good to see it in safe hands now.:)

There are those who call me … Tim

“Were you saying “ni” to that old woman?”

Well said Pink Flamingo. I was going to write a spirited defence of UKAR, but frankly I can’t be bothered. No-one at UKAR takes themselves or their hobby too seriously. We don’t bitch about each other and neither do we feel the need to suck up to people or bully them. The last person who tried that was unceremoniously booted out, weren’t they?
We have no Woderwick!

I thought all the “exhibits” at Rhoose had either been scrapped or returned to their original owners?
XL391 – the perfect example of how not to look after an historic aircraft. Sadly the scrapman’s axe is the best thing for her now.:(
Cosford’s example’s a bit grotty. Looking forward to seeing the Duxford Bucc when she’s finished.
